The 22-inch LM220WE4-SLB1 panel has a 1680 x 1050 pixel resolution (WSXGA+) and the 24-inch LM240WU4-SLB1 variant and the 26-inch LM260WU2-SLA2 have a WUXGA resolution (1920 x 1200 pixels). Other common characteristics of the displays, which are designed for a working temperature range of 0 to 50°C, include 400 cd brightness, a contrast ratio of 1,000:1 and a backlight lifetime of at least 40,000 hours.
The new displays are based on LG Display’s own AH3/IPS technology. The abbreviation stands for Advanced High performance and describes the latest developmental stage of In-Plane Switching (IPS) technology, with the aid of which transparency has been increased by 15 percent and power consumption has been reduced considerably in the past few years. Thanks to AH3/IPS technology, all types of information can be reproduced without any notable loss of contrast or colour changes. The "washing out" of the colours across the viewing angle which can be observed in other technologies does not occur here. With increasing resolution, the advantage against rival technologies also increases.
