Der KT880 unterstützt VIAs DualStream64 Memory Controller, natives Serial ATA/Raid, 6-Kanal Audio, 10/100 MBit Ethernet, acht USB 2.0 Ports und AGP8x. Optional wartet der Chipsatz jedoch auch mit VIAs Vinyl Gold 8-Kanal Audio und VIAs Velocity Gigabit Ethernet auf. Möglich werden diese Features durch weitere Controller und VIAs VT8237 Southbridge, die dem KT880 durch einen 533 MB/s schnellen V-Link zur Seite steht. Der integrierte Raid Controller unterstützt Raid Level 0, Level 1, Level 0+1 und JBOD Konfigurationen.

The VIA KT880 chipset brings DualStream64? dual channel DDR400 memory performance and VIA VT8237 South Bridge connectivity to the AMD Athlon XP processor platform.
