Hi. My question is i dont know why i get WHEA-LOGGER in day 21.01.2018. My system was currently idling when i remember. Windows 10 Fall Creator Update build was 16299.15

A spam of: WHEA Event ID 19 CPU-corrected hw error

And only one : WHEA Event ID 47 memory-corrected hw error

Here are screen with one of them:

My pc:

8700K stock, MTE on, 4700mhz auto clock

Asus Z370 Pro Gaming

16GB DDR 3000MHZ ( XMP ON)

Gtx 1080 Ti Aorus

Corsair 750 Rmi

SSD Crucial 525GB

HDD TOSHIBA 500GB

Windows 10 clean install 1709 Creator Fall Update

All settings in UEFI are stock, defaulted . Only XMP profile is on.

Any clues why on 16299.15 i get hardware corrected errors when on newest builds not?

All settings in UEFI are stock, defaulted . Only XMP profile is on.

Temps of cpu fine, temps of gpu fine. Never had any single BSOD. Memtest86 no errors. All benchmarks passing, no crashing in games

Only saw that warnings in event viewer from 21.01 using Win 10 build 16299.15 which make think that is something with voltages or software? 16299.192 and 16299.214 builds no WHEA-LOGGERS.

Maybe somebody tested 8700K on 16299.15 build?

Hello there

I just searched the internet about your error code and I only found Information about this Error Code pre 2016 or after Nov-Dez 2017.
The newest Information about this error, that I found was about the KB4056892 Update (Meltdown and Spectre Update)

https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us...ndows-10/8727af25-a0f4-4181-afc2-f2009eac3718
Last Post on this Post could help you

BTW I would check all your other Post, maybe there was a better answer than my answer

/e: I just had another idea. Did you update your Uefi/Bios at anytime since you have your Z370 Board?

If your UEFI/Bios is the newest version with the new Microcode Update für Intel CPUs (against Spectre and Meltdown) => It could be possible that the new Microcode isn't compatible with Windows 10 with Out the Patch KB4056892. For KB4056892 you have to have the Windows 10 Build 16299.192 installed!

The Version 16299.15 is the RTM (Release to Manufacture) Version of Windows 10 Fall Update with out any additional Updates.
Both Version 16299.214 and 16299.192 do have this Patch (KB4056892) installed against Spectre and Meltdown Bugs and since you don't have there any problems it could be the case!

I was getting WHEA-LOGGER 19 in build 16299.15 ( build before meltdown/spectre ) ,its from October 2017 build. Processor and mobo i bought in december 2017.

On build 16299.192 ( 3 january 2018 ) and build 16299.214 ( 31 january 2018 ) no WHEA-LOGGER 19 errors.

Its my UEFI bios updates from Asus Z370 Pro Gaming:

https://www.asus.com/pl/Motherboards/TUF-Z370-PRO-GAMING/HelpDesk_BIOS/

I bought mobo and cpu in 17 december 2017.

Wersja 0802
2017/11/17 . I think i have version 0802 because i dont updated UEFI bios.

So any ideaS?

I can't say if you have the version 802 installed but the Meltdown Patch for your Mainboard would be in the Version 1003
You should see your Version in the Bios like here: https://www.google.ch/search?q=Bios...&biw=1920&bih=900&dpr=1#imgrc=pyxecTwHo71n5M:

It could be possible that the mainboard was update befor you bought the mainboard or you could also have the older version 0403 installed.
Most post, as I mention before, pre 2016 suggested to reset your bios.

I would try as a next step to reset your uefi and test the windows logs again, if the error still persist I would update the UEFI.
When you have the version 403 installed I would try 802 first and maybe 1003 on the next try. If you have 802 already installed I would try directly with 1003.

Somebody said:"open an RMA with Intel and let your CPU be replaced as you have an Hardware-Bug in your CPU"

So rma cpu ?

ps:
I dont know what bios uefi version i have , but i will check in cpuz when i back to home.
Anyway i have now 16299.214 build version Windows 10 Creator Fall Update and 0 WHEA-LOGGER warnings.

Any ideas why i had this on 16299.15 ?

i checked cpuz and its bios : 0215 < date 2017. 5 may.

Or maybe it was because i had 390.65 drivers (
GeForce 390.65 WHQL (with security fixes for Meltdown and Spectre )

On old system 16299.15 ( before meltdown spectre ) hmm ?
