Gigabyte GA-7VAXP - Nur USB1 Performance

Hallo zusammen,

ich habe Probleme mit einem Gigabyte GA-7VAXP Mainboard. Sowohl die beiden USB Ports als auch die Front-USB-Ports erkennen eine angeschlossene 2,5"-USB-Festplatte, nutzen aber nicht USB2.0 für die Datenübertragung. Es wird auch die Hinweismeldung ausgegeben, dass ein USB2.0 "High-Speed" Laufwerk an einem nicht Hi-Speed fähigen USB Controller angeschlossen ist.

Auf dem System ist Windows XP SP2 + alle Updates (über Windowsupdate) installiert.

Das Problem lies sich trotz folgender Maßnahmen bisher nicht beheben:
- Einstellungen im BIOS überprüft
- USB Controller deinstalliert, Neustart und erneut von Windows installieren lassen
- USB Controller deinstalliert, Neustart und mit Windows2000 USB 2.0 Treiber von der Gigabyte Webseite (http://www.gigabyte.de/Support/Motherboard/Driver_Model.aspx?ProductID=1391) installieren lassen

Die USB Ports funktionieren weiterhin, allerdings nur mit USB1 Geschwindigkeit.

Welche Möglichkeiten habe ich noch? Mir fallen derzeit leider keine ein.

Ist der USB Patch für XP beim Online Update Dabei? Zur not drüberbügeln...

Oder schau mal im Bios ob du USB-2 Aktiviert hast. ;)
 
ich hatte auch so ein problem bei einem anderen board, dawaren es die treiber die gefehlt haben, aber ich hab es auch schon erlebt das das front-usb vom gehäuse nur 1.0/1.1 hat!
ich hoffe ich konnt helfen
 
Normalerweise sollte der USB Patch ja im Service Pack 2 integriert sein. Ich werde es mit dem von dir verlinkten Patch mal versuchen.

Dann müssten aber zumindest die Ports an der Rückseite funktionieren. Und selbst wenn ich Geräte an die Front-USB Ports stecke, kommt die Meldung.
 
So, der Patch kann nicht installiert werden, da das SP2 schon installiert ist. Habt ihr noch eine andere Idee?
 
hm oh man ich hatte das Mobo auch mal und auch das gleiche Problem, nur weiss ich nimma genau was damals geholfen hatte :-/

Aber meine Vorschläge:

1. Via 4in1 Chipsatztreiber evtl. mal nen anderen direkt von Via probieren... nen neueren
2. Bios Update evtl. bringts was
3. Gigabyte Support anmailen

hoffe es bringt was...
