Hallo an Abit Freaks,

BIOS release 1.8 for NF7/NF7-S v1.0/1.1/1.2
NF7-M v1.2

Release information:

[ENGLISH]

0. Please use AWDFLASH 8.23D or later to update NF7 series BIOS. With
incorrect AWDFLASH version, the GUID will be erased, and leads to
IEEE1394 peer to peer function failed. AWDFLASH 8.23K is included in
this BIOS package.
1. Changed SSID of NF7-M and NF7 to "1C01" and "1C02" respectively.
2. Changed default setting of "Floppy A" to "1.44M, 3.5in." after fail-
save default loaded.
3. Added auto-detecting function of "Dual Channel DDR". The DDR modules
should be installed in DIMM-3 and DIMM-2.
4. Fixed system instability issue when a PCI card installed in PCI-4
and in Windows 2000 environment.
5. BIOS Compile Date: 4/10/2003.

Release information:

ach ja: hab 2 ddr module in bank 1 und 3 ist das richtig für dualchannel?
und muss ich was im bios verändern?!

du musst erst Update machen. dann kannst du beim BootScreen sehen ob du Dual Channel aktiviert ist. Wenn es nicht anzeigt oder disabled steht hast du im falschen Slot. Aber 1&3 muss auch gehen, aber nicht 1&2. Probier mal aus mit dem Biosupdate. Viel Glueck.

wie twinbanking erst nur durch biosupdate?
an die update geschichte traue ich mich nicht so ran! dat board ist gerade erst ein paar wochen alt will es nicht sofort schrotten!

nein nur ab Bios update kannst du beim Computer starten sehen ob du Twinbank akiviert hast, aber ohne auch, aber wenn du sicher sein willst kannst du Biosupdate machen, bei mir macht das neue Bios 1.2 keine Probleme.

kann ich auch von festplatte flashen? nicht von diskette halt! oder geht dat nicht?!

Na klar geht das. Starte deinen Rechner einfach per Diskette oder von CD ROM aus und gehe danach in das Verzeichnis, wo du das File hin kopiert hast.

nee hab ich nicht! update hat per festplatte problemlos geklappt!
hab nur das gefühl das ich jetzt zum takten den vcore extremer hochsetzten muss als vorher! ungefähr 0,05 imo kann mich aber auch täuschen!

wie ging nochmal der trick das man das cmos aut tastendruck löschen konnte?!

edit: hab das prob das ich nicht runtefahren kann seitdem ich das neue bios drauf habe! das os fährt zwar runter der moni wird ausgeschaltet aber der rechner läuft noch! alle lüfter sowie die platten laufen alle noch! kann erst per knopf ausmachen!
jemand ahnung davon?

keine wichtigeren Neuerungen

Temps werden immer noch zu hoch angezeigt.......

ansonsten aber stabil und schnell wie die anderen

und die DualChannel anzeige is auch stylisch

Seit heute gibts ein neues Bios fuer Abit NF7 Serie. !!!Achtung BETA Version!!! Daher Vorsicht angesagt.

Release information:

1. Fixed CPU temperature too high issue.
2. Raised highest CPU FSB up to 300 MHz for "user define mode" in SoftMenu.
3. Fixed SATA RAID-0 data corruption issue by adding a new option "EXT-P2P's
Discard Time" in "integrated Peripherals". The default setting is "3.8 us".
Please change it to "30 us"; which is recommended by NVidia. In case the
problem is still there, try "1 ms" please.
4. BIOS Compile Date: 5/13/2003.

Beta BIOS release 14 beta 1 for NF7-S/NF7 v2.0

Release information:
