is der athlon mp der ja jetzt schon seit über ner woche verfügbar der athlon4 (palomino) oda is das ein "normaler" tb mit multi processing fähigkeit??

Nicht für Desktop Markt

Der Athlon MP ist der Palomino für den Server und Workstationmarkt, nicht jedoch für das Desktop Segement. Also er hat zwar den Palomino Kern, hebt sich jedoch durch kleine Veränderungen vom Athlon 4 ab.

Tommy, meinst du jetzt den Mobile Athlon MP?
Na wenigstens behaltet AMD für den Athlon5 und selbst für den Athlon6 seinen Sockel-A, und nicht wie Intel pro Prozessorgeneration 2 verschiedene Sockeln.

Athlon MP Mobile gibts doch gar nicht Crazy Also, ich kann euch nur die Werte für den Athlon 4 Mobile und Athlon MP geben, andere sind mir leider noch nicht zugefolgen.

Also ich gebe zu, dass ich das nur aus den Pressemeldungen rein kopiert habe, aber ich denke mal da stehen alle wichtige Fakten drin. Im großen und Ganzen kann man die Sachen dann auf den Desktop Athlon 4 beziehen.

Was ist nun konkret der Unterschied zwischen Athlon MP und dem Athlon 4? Wäre mal nett wenn eine Hardwareseite den Unterschied benchen würde.

Also den Athlon 4 für den Desktop gibts ja noch nicht offiziell, aber du kannst davon ausgehen, dass ihn alle Multiprozessor funktionen fehlen, genaueres weiß ich jedoch auch nicht. Über die L2 Cache größe weiß ich auch nicht genau bescheid. Wie wir mal berichtet haben, kriegt der Desktop Palomino nen organisches Gehäuse, mehr weiß ich momentan auch noch nicht, aber 3DNow! Professional kann er auch auf jeden Fall.
