ISA-Karte mit Abit KT7A

Hi,

ich hab ein Abit KT7A-Raid (Raid ist ausgeschaltet) und will eine alte ISA-Karte (Adaptec 1505 SCSI-Controller-Karte für meinen Scanner) nutzen. Irgendwie funzt das aber nicht. Win2000 erkennt zwar, dass es da eine Adaptec 1505 gibt, aber mit Fehlercode 10! Als ich noch ein andere Mainboard hatte, wurde die Karte allerdings auch schon beim booten angezeigt, was jetzt nicht mehr der Fall ist, außerdem hat damals Win2000 dieselbe Karte ohne Probleme automatisch erkannt.
Ich vermute also, dass das Problem beim Mainboard liegt!

Kann mir hier jemand weiterhelfen?

Hey!

Wahrscheinlich braucht die Karte nen bestimmten IRQ, guck mal nach welchen, oder welche möglichen.
Und dann stellst du im BIOS für deine ISA Karte diesen IRQ feste ein, so kann nich irgendein PCI Gerät diesen IRQ verwenden.
Daran könnte es liegen....muss aba nich ;>

Ich habs ausprobiert, daran liegts wohl nicht. Damals gings auch ohne direkte irq-zuweisung.

Ich kenn das nur von meiner alten ISA-Fritzcard. Ich glaub da mußte ich auf der Karte den Speicherberiech jumpern. Gibts bei Dir da ähnliches??

Hab gerade mal ganz kurz bei Adaptec geluschert und das hier gefunden:

Setting SCSI Card Jumpers
There is one jumper on your SCSI Card 1505. Jumper J3 controls the
I/O Port Address. You do not need to change the J3 Jumper setting
in a Plug-and-Play system (that is, a system with a motherboard
Plug-and-Play BIOS and Windows 95, Windows NT or OS/2).
If your system is not Plug-and-Play, you may need to change the I/O
address if it conflicts with another device installed in your system. To
change the I/O Address, remove the shunt from Jumper J3.
