Professional stereoscopic OpenGL support on NVIDIA graphics cards in Windows 2000
Until now, only the expensive Elsa Quadro based boards had native stereoscopic OpenGL support, that pro 3D applications use, like CAD and 3D rendering software. But this Russian NVIDIA page presented a utility called SoftQuadro that patches any NVIDIA driver (from 6.31 to 12.40) to use most of the functions of the Quadro chips. This means that any GeForce or newer now can use this feature in Windows 2000 and run applications like 3D Studio Max or Quake3Arena (okay, Q3A is no pro application) like they were designed to. Here is a screenshot and a full guide will be online in a few days, with info on how to install and more. Quick install notes, get SoftQuadro and patch the driver, then install the driver. Uncheck Enable Overlays (see screenshot) to get stereo to work in W2K (no W9x stereo support).
