In Anwendungen können in erster Linie hohe Taktraten und viele Threads punkten. Deshalb schafft es der Xeon E3-1230 v3 sich um 15 Prozent vor den fast preisgleichen Core i5-4670K zu setzen. Die 200 MHz weniger Takt in allen Turbo-Belangen sorgen jedoch dafür, dass ein gewisser Abstand zu den Core i7 gegeben ist.
