nunja, kommt wie man sieht aufs spiel an - bei oblivion zieht sogar 2xSSAA mehr. Bei Stalker nimmt sichs nix (4xSSAA - 24 ED-AA).

Aber sag mal, was hat das im test mit dem HQ-AF bei Ati zu suchen. Ich denke die Möglichkeit gibts gar nicht (macht ja im Test auch keien unterschied...?) Erinnere mich nicht will aber den test auch net nochmal ganz lesen...?

HQ-AF geht bei AMD ja auch nicht. Keine Ahnung was Wolfgang da rein genommen hat , aber es scheint wohl mit AI off zu sein.

BTW
Neben der Theorie mit dem dem Cheaten beim AF, gibt es inzwischen auch neue Thesen zu dem schlechteren AF. Nämlich, dass der Algorithmus nicht richtig funktioniert bzw. es architekturbedingt ist. -->In dem Fall würde, dass Banding nicht nur durch bilineare Filterung zustande kommen.
Von AMD natürlich wie immer kein Kommentar.

HQ-AF war bei den X1k optional für die (fast) Winkelunabhängigkeit.

Das 3dcenter macht seinem Namen wieder aller Ehre und veröffentlicht als erste große deutsche Seite die neue Filterproblematik bei den HD5K Karten. Neben dem früher vermuteten Cheaten mit bewusster bilinear anisotroper Filterung(Mip Map Banding) und Unterfilterung, kommt eine neue These zum Vorschein.Dabei tritt das Banding der HD5k unabhängig davon auf ob es Mip Maps gibt
