Hilfe Drive Image startet beim Start immer!

Habe ein Problem....


Und zwar bekamm ich immer folgende Meldung beim Starten von Windows 2000

Err5: Error finding VFLOPPY.SYS (Die Datei ist im Programmordner von Drive Image)
Err8: Fake Floppy driver not found
Press any key to boot active Partition

Dies seitdem ich mein System wieder mal gesichert habe (auf CD).

Nun suchte ich nach dieser Datei...Dann fand ich heraus das es von Dirve Image ist danach habe ich mal den Ordner geöffent darin fand ich die Datei VFInstNT.EXE. Die habe ich einfach so mal angeklickt ohne zu Wissen was die Datei macht

Danach fährt das System hochlädt dann aber immer nur das Drive Image Programm.

Zum glück hatte ich eine Windows 2000 Startdiskette mit der lies sich das System eigentlich auch nicht straten zuerst NTDLR drauf und Boot.ini dann gehts.


Es scheint also ob Dirve Image ins MBR geschrieben hat.... jetzt gehts wieder ich bin wieder drin aber leider nur mit der Startdiskette.

Kann mir jemand Helfen...

Hmm, hab zwar keine Ahnung, wie Du das wieder manuell wegbekommst, aber versuch doch nochmal was zu backuppen. Wenn er damit fertig ist, müsste DriveImage Windows wieder in den Normal-Zustand versetzen.

Geh mal in die Datenträgerverwaltung und setze die Platte auf aktiv, von der Du starten willst.

Ich mach ein Dual-Boot. Bei mir steht D: (Startpartition) und C: (Systempartition).

Auf D: ist Windows 2000 und auf C: Windows 98.

Hat dies nicht etwas mit dem MBR zutun? Oder was startet der PC nachdem BIOS Screen?

Eine der beiden Platten muß eine aktive Partition haben, es passiert schon mal leicht bei DI, das zwar die Daten geschriben werden, aber die aktive Partition nicht gesetzt wird. Wenn Du auf C die Bootpart hast und auch die Startdateien von 2k hast, mußt Du z.B. mit Fdisk (bei 98) nachsehen, ob die Partition aktiv ist. (aktive Partition festlegen). Du sagst Dualboot, stellst Du dann im Bios 1.) jedes Mal die Bootplatte um oder benutzt Du den 2.) Bootmanager von 2K? Bei 2.) muß C: die aktive Partition sein. Wenn Du einen anderen Bootmanager benutzt, solltest Du den neu aktivieren, damit die Bootreihenfolge ausgewählt wird.

Nein, ich mache ein Dual Boot von einer Harddsik aus. Ich nutze den Windows 2000 Bootmananger.

Die Partition C: habe ich mit Partition Magic aktiviert.


Liegt das nicht im MBR?

Was macht Drive Image wenn ich sichern will? Ich kann das von der Oberfläche starten danach wird der PC neugestartet und Drive Image startet von der Harddsik aus. Also was mach Drive Image in diesem Moment?

Drive Image startet den Dosmodus um ein Image zu erstellen.

Ja, aber Drive Image muss ja etwas verändern dass zuerst Drive Image ausgeführt wird und keine Datei Boot.ini geladen wird.

habe mal auf der Powerquest-Seite gesucht und habe folgendes gefunden. Vielleicht hilft Dir das ja:


Solution: Computer keeps rebooting from virtual floppy (stuck in loop)

There are several methods for fixing this problem:

Method A
---------------
1. If the computer reboots and displays a message that it is starting Windows 98 or Caldera DOS, press CTRL+C. This should get you to an A: prompt (the virtual floppy prompt).

2. From the A: prompt, type RESTRMBR, and then press ENTER.

3. Press CTRL+ALT+DEL,

OR

Type REBOOT, and then press ENTER.

The computer should restart and boot properly into Windows again.


Method B
---------------
Hold down the right SHIFT key while booting.


Method C
---------------
Boot with a Windows 98 Startup disk and at the A:\ prompt, enter FDISK /MBR.

Hab noch was gefunden...

Solution: Error 8 "Fake Floppy driver not found. Press any key to boot active partition."

Cause 1: This error can be caused if the Drive Image 2002 virtual floppy files have been compressed by Windows XP. (The "Disk Cleanup" feature in Windows XP has an option to compress files on NTFS partitions if those files have not been accessed for a specific amount of time.) When Drive Image reboots to true DOS mode to perform an imaging task, it is unable to find the virtual floppy files it needs to perform the task since DOS cannot access files that Windows XP has compressed.



Fix 1: To fix this issue:

a. In Windows XP, go to the \Program Files\PowerQuest\Drive Image 2002\VFD folder.

The filenames of compressed files are displayed in blue.


b. Select the compressed files.


c. Right-click one of the selected files and select "Properties" from the quick menu.


d. On the General tab in the Properties dialog, click "Advanced."


e. In the Advanced Attributes dialog, remove the mark from the "Compress contents to save disk space" checkbox.


f. Click "OK" to exit the Advanced Attributes dialog.


g. Click "OK" to exit the Properties dialog.


h. Run Drive Image 2002 and set up the imaging session again.


When Drive Image runs the imaging task and reboots to DOS, the errors should no longer be reported.


NOTE: For instructions on changing the time frame for the "Compress old files" option in Windows XP, see PowerQuest Solution PR4795.

Cause 2: This error can be caused if you used Boot Disk Builder to create a virtual floppy.



Fix 2: To resolve this error in a FAT/FAT32 environment, perform the following:

a. Boot with a Windows 98 boot disk.


b. Go to the following directory: Program Files\PowerQuest\Drive Image Pro 4.0\VFD


c. At the command line, type the following and press Enter: restrmbr.exe

This restores the original MBR.DAT file.


If you continue to receive the error, boot with a Windows 98 boot disk and run FDISK /MBR.


To resolve this error under Windows 2000 or XP in an NTFS environment, perform the following:

a. Boot from the Windows 2000 installation CD.


b. Select the "Console Recovery" option.


c. Repair the MBR by running the FIXMBR utility.

Habe Method A verwendet. Also Crtl+C gedrückt und dann RESTRMBR eingegeben neugestartet und alles wieder gut
