In den einzelnen Spielen zeigt sich, dass die Leistung der Radeon R9 295X2 stark vom vorhandenen Multi-GPU-Profil abhängig ist. Funktioniert das nicht richtig, hat die Grafikkarte keine Chance sich von der Radeon R9 290X abzusetzen. Für Company of Heroes 2 gibt es zum Beispiel überhaupt keins. Auch nicht bei Nvidia.
In Hitman: Absolution funktioniert auf der Radeon-Karte plötzlich kein CrossFire mehr, wenn die Ultra-HD-Auflösung genutzt wird. In anderen Auflösungen gibt es kein Problem. Die beste Skalierung können wir dagegen Battlefield 4 attestieren. Dort liegt die Radeon R9 295X2 98 Prozent vor der Radeon R9 290X.
Frameverläufe Spiele
Bei den Frameverlaufsdiagrammen zeigt sich Interessantes in Assassin's Creed 3. Dort funktioniert das CrossFire-Profil der Radeon R9 295X2 in einem Teil der von uns getesteten Szene nicht, sodass die Multi-GPU-Karte gar noch langsamer als die Radeon R9 290X arbeitet. Ist die Szene vorbei, skaliert die Grafikkarte dann wieder normal. Das Actionspiel ist der einzige Titel in unserem Parcours, der solche Eigenheiten zeigt.
Battlefield 4 mit Mantle
Neben Battlefield 4 bietet bisher Thief Unterstützung für AMDs Low-Level-API Mantle, doch nur Battlefield 4 kommt bereits mit Multi-GPU-Konfigurationen wie der Radeon R9 295X2 zurecht. Wir haben uns das Spiel mit der schnelleren API im für die CPU fordernderen Multiplayer-Modus angehen..

Aufgrund der hohen GPU-Leistung profitiert die Radeon R9 295X2 deutlich von der Mantle-API. Selbst unter 3.840 × 2.160 kann die Multi-GPU-Karte im Multiplayer-Modus von Battlefield 4 gegenüber DirectX noch um zwölf Prozent zulegen. In 2.560 × 1.600 sind es gar hohe 48 Prozent. Das entspricht den Ergebnissen eines Radeon-R9-290X-CrossFire-Gespanns.
