explorer.exe - The memory could not be read. On shutdown/reboot

I plugged this pc and formatted disk in uefi.

13900K stock

2x16 GB DDR5 GSKILL 6800

Rtx 4090 Gigabyte Gaming

Aorus Elite Z790 AX

SSD KINGSTON 2TB

Seasonic 1300W PX ATX 3.0 PCIE 5

win 11



Today i rebooted pc by shutdown button in start menu and this popped:





explorer.exe - application error

The instruction at 0x00007FFD4938C34B referenced memory at

0x0000000000000008. The memory could not be read.









Is my pc stable? I dont oc pc,all stock.Should i check RAM?

6800 MT/s isn’t trivial to run on a 4 DIMM motherboard. Run y-cruncher VST and see if you get errors after an hour or two. If you do, bump down to 6600 MT/s and repeat. Lots of info on r/overclocking on this “issue”.

Could be possible.
Fact is, Intel guaranties a maximum Speed of 5600 MHz DDR 5 on the Memory controller of the CPU.
All Speeds above 5600 MHz is overclocking.
So you could test your System with 56000 MHz and see if it works without errors. If so, you than can increase the speed of the memory controller step by step.

6800MT/s might be way too high. Are you using an XMP profile?

You could try lowering the RAM speed step by step.

A quick and easy way under Windows to determine wether yout RAM is running stable or not is to test it with "TestMem5". Its by no means as accurate as MemTest(86) but a lot quicker and - as mentioned - runs in Windows.
