GPS-Zwang bei Instax Share-Drucker

Hi Leute,

ich hab ne doofe Frage und leider konnte mir die google-search nicht weiterhelfen (oder ich bin zu doof zum suchen, nicht unmöglich).
Um diesen komischen kleinen Fotodrucker Instax Share zu betreiben, braucht man ja eine App auf dem Smartphone und die Verbindung zum Drucker klappt aber nur, wenn man GPS an und der App Zugriff auf GPS eingeräumt hat und ich wüsste gerne wieso?
Wieso muss dieser Drucker wissen, wo er sich gerade befindet, der Sinn dahinter erschließt sich mir nicht. Kann mir da einer mit Ahnungsschein und ohne Alu-Hut vielleicht weiterhelfen?

Die App will das, nicht der Drucker.
Der Hersteller will wissen wo auf dieser Welt sein Krams benutzt wird.

Naja warum braucht die App Zugriff auf deine Kontakte?
Es wird an Daten abgegriffen was der User hergibt.

The "Take a picture" function need the "Camera" permission.

The "Real time template" function need the "Camera" permission and the "Location" permission.

"Selection from Photos" function need the "Photos" permission.



Sprich irgendwelche tollen Fotofeatures brauchen das wohl.... bzw. um zu wissen, ob grad über das Netzwerk oder das Internet auf deinen Drucker zugegriffen werden muss...

Google zwingt dich die Erlaubnis für Positionsdaten einzuholen wenn du Bluetooth oder WLAN verwendest. Über beide Dienste könnte man den Standort bekommen und damit stellt Google sicher, dass die User das auch wissen.
