Mailserver postfix + fetchmail + smtp auth + SASL, klappt nich

Servus leute. folgendes problem
ich hab nen post fix server am laufen mit dovecot. das funzt auch soweit wunderbar, auch mit fetchmail-ssl. nur man will ja kein offenes relay haben, also: smtp auth.
da haperts auch schon.
ich hab das mal nach der anleitung des postfixbuch gemacht mir rimap.
leider startet saslauthd damit nicht immer.
aber auch mit dem dem shadow mechanismus klappt nicht. beim versenden
einer email werde ich aufgefordert zugangsdaten einzugeben, mache ich, aber:

eigentlich sollte doch aber keine sasldb benutzt werden, nur wenn ich den mechanismus einschalte, oder sollt ich mich irren.?

ohne SASL läuft alles wunderbar, allerdings beschränke ich dann den zugriff ueber hamachi.
ist ok solang ich zuhause bin aber unterwegs . . .

frage: wie bekomm ich das mit der sasldb weg bzw was gibts sons vielleicht fuer lösungen.

EDIT: hat sich alles erledigt, funzt nun super, musste SASL in der dovecot.cfg einrichten.
