I've got a Dimension 8300. Recently I could sense a smell of something burnt and shortly afterwards the screen when blank. After turning computer off I tried again and the screen came on. After 5-10 min the smell came, the blue screen "tried" to come on but couldn't refresh the image completely. There was a mixture of blue screen and the desktop. Any idea what's happening?

Hi,
it seems that your graphiccard is not working probably anymore.
Open the case of your PC and have a look inside if you´ll see an black or burned out things.
In this case it´s the best way not to turn on the PC to prevent more damages.
You´ll should try to call a specialist in PC´s to have a look...
