Das Ding wird vom neuen MS Edge genutzt um PWA Apps besser zu integrieren, PWA Apps sind Web Apps die "progressive" sind und sich mehr wie Desktop Apps Verhalten. Das Ding hat sich aufgehangen und das wars, würde ich mir nicht viel Gedanken bei machen.
