Hi,
ich stelle nachfolgend ein Guide von meiner Seite (in englisch) zur Verfügung, für alle die einen SONY VAIO VGN-FW-Notebook haben. Ich bin exakt diesen Schritten (und Treibern) gefolgt und es hat alles 100% funktioniert.




Windows 7 Professional (64-Bit) clean install
incl. all working drivers for SONY FW-Series Notebooks!

You are to download the Driver Pack, which is including all recent Software you will need (Date: 01.02.2010):

Drivers

With this pack of drivers you are prepared to start the following steps:

1. Install Win 7 Professional (64-Bit, english) (für Studenten kostenlos über MSDNAA)
2. Download the latest Windows Updates
3. restart
4. Install Sony Shared Library
5. Install SUS (Setting Utilty Series) from the SONY Notebook Utilities
6. Install VCC (Vaio Control Center) from the SONY Notebook Utilities
7. Install BC (Battery Care)) from the SONY Notebook Utilities
8. Install Intel Chipset Driver
9. Install HardDisk SATA Driver
10. Install ATI Graphics Driver (HD3650, HD3470 or download the INTEL Graphics Driver)
11. Install Realtek HD Audio Driver
12. Install Realtek HDMI Audio Driver
13. restart
14. Install Wireless LAN Driver
15. Install Webcam Driver
16. Install Conexant Modem Driver
17. Install Bluetooth Broadcom Driver
18. Install Alps TouchPad Device Driver
19. Install Memory Stick Drive Driver
20. Install Memory SD Drive Driver
21. restart
22. Install VES2 (VAIO Event Service) from the SONY Notebook Utilities
23. Install Sony Firmware Extension Parser Device (Win7, x64)
24. Install VPM (VAIO Power Manager) from the SONY Notebook Utilities
25. Install Smart Wi Driver
26. restart

Now, all SONY Drivers & Features are working! (FN-, S1-, Multimedia-Keys, TouchPad, ATI, BC, VCC etc.)


AV-Mode

To get the AV-Mode running as well (including the VAIO Media Plus Center), do the following Steps afterwards:

1. Install Content Metadata Intelligent Analyzing Manager
2. Install Original Function Settings Software
3. Install Entertainment Platform Software
4. Install Media plus
5. Install Media plus Opening Movie
6. Install Media plus Extension
7. restart

Tips

1. Set-up all your individual preferences on Windows and install some important regular tools (like WinRAR, Firefox, Adobe Reader, VLC Player, TuneUp Utlities 2010 etc.) and eventually use:
2. Acronis True Image 2010 to create a backup-file (.tib) from the whole partition C: (I created a 37 GB partition for Windows and used around 20 GB of it, when I did the backup in the end. It fits on 2 DVD's (~7,5 GB) now!)

I recommend this guide for the Sony VAIO FW-Series with an ATI Graphic Card, 4 GB Ram, a BD-readonly Drive and some CPU similar to Core 2 Duo Pxxx. Otherwise you probably have to look for some individual Installers (e.g. Video or Chipset Drivers etc.).

Note: The VAIO Model I use is the Sony VGN-FW21J!

Hallo! Ich möchte den Treibern und Dienstprogrammen Download-Paket, weil ihr die einzige, die ich gefunden habe, um mein Recht zu aktualisieren Vaio VGN-fw21j auf Windows 7.
Bitte, nicht jeder kann reupload Teile 1 und 2 des rapidshare Archiven oder in irgendeiner anderen Servern? Teile 3 und 4 noch funktioniert.
Wenn Sie wollen, wenn ich alle Teile bekomme ich reupload es mit meinem megaupload Premium-Account.

Hi! I would like to download the drivers and utilities pack because its the only one that i have found to update right my vaio vgn-fw21j to Windows 7 .
Please, does anybody can reupload parts 1 and 2 of the rapidshare archives or in any other servers? Parts 3 and 4 still works.
If you want, if i can get all the parts i will reupload it to megaupload with my premium account.
