I'm pretty sure that this annoying high-freq. noise is from the coil inside the PSU, which is a common phenomenon when the voltage sinks (like during extra big load on the PSU). I've tried different 2 Radeon 9700 Pro cards, 2 different motherboards, 3 different Zalman PSUs, 1 NoName PSU, and the same sound come out everytime.

Which PSU have you in use with a Radeon 9700 Pro ??

Thanks

recommend is a 300w powersupply
but you should use at least 350w better 400w
but that depends on your cpu / hdd config
very good is an Enermax 350w psu for example

PS: Here still my other hardware

-Athlon XP2100+
-2x Infineon DIMM 256MB PC2100 DDR CL2 (Dual Channel user)
-ASUS A7N8X Deluxe
-SEAGATE 60 GB Barracuda IV
-YAM F1
-Audigy 1
-Hauppauge WinTV Nexus-s
-5x Noiseblocker Ultra Silent Fans

I need a Low-Noise-PSU = DigitalTV-Machine

enermax has a few psu's with low noise fans
perhaps the zalman psu has not enough power on the 3.3v line
