Sonicpoint G INTL einrichten

Hallo,

ich habe zZ einen Sonicwall Sonicpoint G Wlan Access Point zuhause.
Da dieser im Geschäft momentan nicht mehr benötigt wird würde ich diesen hier gerne mal testen.
Da ich die Einstellungen nicht behalten wollte, hab ich die default ip im Internet gesucht und das Teil resettet.
Dann hab ich meinen Laptop mit der IP Adresse 192.168.1.10 versehen und konnte dann über ein Netzwerkkabel im Browser die 192.168.1.20 aufrufen.
Da erscheint dann aber nur der SonicPoint SafeMode!
Es stehen dann "System Informationen" und unten drunter "Firmware Management".
Bei letzterem kann man FTP Server, Username, PW und Firmware Image Filename angeben und eine neue Firmware hochladen.
Das Problem ist, ich weiss nicht ob ich da jetzt einen FTP Server angeben muss und wenn ja welchen?
Er zeigt mir jedoch an, dass "SonicOS 3.1.0.0 installiert sei. Also brauch ich ja eigentlich keine neue Firmware.

Meine Frage ist jetzt, wieso komme ich nicht auf die normale Konfigurationsseite wo ich mich mit default user und pw anmelden kann....

ich habe die 192.168.168.168 auch versucht! da drüber bekomm ich nicht mal das SafeMode Interface geschweige das "normale".

Resetting the SonicPoint
The SonicPoint has a reset switch inside a small hole in the back of the unit, next to the console port.
You can reset the SonicPoint at any time by pressing the reset switch with a straightened paper-clip, a
tooth pick, or other small, straight object.
The reset button resets the configuration of the mode the SonicPoint is operating in to the factory
defaults. It does not reset the configuration for the other mode. Depending on the mode the
SonicPoint is operating in, and the amount of time you press the reset button, the SonicPoint behaves
in one of the following ways:
• Press the reset button for at least three seconds, and less than eight seconds with the
SonicPoint operating in Managed Mode to reset the Managed Mode configuration to factory
defaults and reboot the SonicPoint.
• Press the reset button for more than eight seconds with the SonicPoint operating in Managed
Mode to reset the Managed Mode configuration to factory defaults and reboot the SonicPoint in
SafeMode.
• Press the reset button for at least three seconds, and less than eight seconds with the
SonicPoint operating in Stand-Alone Mode to reset the Stand-Alone Mode configuration to factory
defaults and reboot the SonicPoint.
• Press the reset button for more than eight seconds with the SonicPoint operating in Stand-Alone
Mode to reset the Stand-Alone Mode configuration to factory defaults and reboot the SonicPoint in
SafeMode.

ich denke mal den letzten punkt hast du gemacht. probier es mal mit dem punkt drei, den reset knopf mehr als drei, aber weniger als 8 sekunden zu drücken

das habe ich nun nochmals versucht.... aber leider kein erfolg damit... ich komme nur in den SafeMode über die 192.168.1.20 !
über die 192.168.168.168 erreich ich nichts... 192.168.168.1 auch nicht... den laptop selbst habe ich auf die 192.168.168.20 bzw wie oben auf die 192.168.1.10 gesetzt gehabt.

Der Sonicpoint G (mit 3 Antennen) lässt sich nur über eine Sonicwall Appliance verwalten!
Bei den vorherigen Modellen war das anders.
