Aktueller CPU-Benchmark: Die Community testet Cinebench R20
tl;dr: Wie schnell ist welcher Prozessor im CPU-Benchmark Cinebench R20? ComputerBase hat nicht nur eigene Tests mit bekannten Modellen erstellt, sondern auch die Community zum Testen aufgerufen. Das Ergebnis: Ein Benchmark-Vergleich mit hunderten alten und neuen CPUs von AMD und Intel.
Der Überblick wurde um die Ergebnisse der seit April neu erschienenen Prozessoren von AMD und Intel ergänzt. Neu enthalten sind Core i9-10900K und Core i5-10600K (Test), Core i5-10400F (Test), Ryzen 3 3300X und 3100 (Test) sowie Ryzen 9 3900XT, Ryzen 7 3800XT und Ryzen 5 3600XT (Test). Der mit tatkräftiger Unterstützung der Community entstandende Überblick über die CPU-Leistung in Cinebench R20 ist damit wieder auf dem aktuellen Stand.
Das ist neu am Cinebench R20
Der neue Name verrät es bereits: Cinebench R20 (Download) basiert wie Cinebench R15 auf der Technik des bekannte Rendering-Tools Cinema 4D, jetzt aber auf Basis des Release 20 und nicht des Release 15. Damit kommt eine überarbeitete Rendering-Engine zum Einsatz, die unter anderem auch den Befehlssatz AVX unterstützt. Die Mindestvoraussetzung ist dagegen der SSE3-Befehlssatz.
Bis zu 256 Threads werden unterstützt
Darüber hinaus will Maxon beim Cinebench R20 die Skalierung mit vielen Threads deutlich verbessert haben, damit auch zukünftige Prozessoren noch getestet werden können: Bis zu 256 werden jetzt unterstützt. Ferner kommt eine deutlich aufwendigere Raytracing-Szene zum Einsatz, die laut dem Entwickler acht Mal so viel Rechenaufwand und vier Mal so viel Speicher benötigt als die aus dem Cinebench R15 bekannte. Darüber hinaus vermittelt sie mit dem fotorealistischen Abbild eines Zimmers einen viel besseren Eindruck davon, wozu solche Programme zum Einsatz kommen.
Erneut gibt es einen Testlauf für die Single-Thread- und die Multi-Thread-Performance, der bei Cinebench R15 noch vorhandene OpenGL-Test für Grafikkarten wurde hingegen gestrichen – genutzt wurde er in der Regel eh nicht.
Die Community kann mittesten
ComputerBase hat bereits zahlreiche eigene Benchmarks mit CPUs im Cinebench R20 erstellt, zum Einsatz kam Windows 10. Wie zuletzt bei Metro Exodus ist die Community aber auch in diesem Fall dazu aufgerufen, selber einen Durchlauf zu starten und im Forum die Ergebnisse für den Single-Thread- und den Multi-Thread-Wert zu posten – im Optimalfall mit Screenshot. Dazu muss unter Files der Menüpunkt Advanced benchmark aktiviert werden, anschließend lassen sich beide Testläufe über Run all selected tests in einem Rutsch ausführen.
Wichtig sind beim Einreichen von Ergebnissen auch die weiteren Informationen wie der eingesetzte Prozessor und ob dieser im Werkszustand oder übertaktet getestet worden ist. Wenn letzteres der Fall war, sollte zudem der Takt genannt werden. Hilfreich sind ferner Information zum genutzten Speichertakt mitsamt der eingestellten Timings.

Die nachfolgende Tabelle enthält erste Benchmarks der Redaktion, wird sukzessiv aber um Benchmarks der Community erweitert werden (Orange).
