Benötige Hilde für USB Boot mit Gigabyte GA-Z77X-UD5H

Hi PS User,

ich habe zu wenig Erfahrung. Ich möchte WinX vom USB Stick booten. Mit dem rufus-2.8 habe ich den USB Stick die WinX erstellt. Was muß ich im Gigabyte GA-Z77X-UD5H im Bios einstelllen damit ich vom USB Stick Booten und Installieren kann?
Wer würde mir ein paar Tipps geben?

Weiß grad nicht welche Taste es genau ist. Teste mal beim Booten "F8", "F12" oder "Entf" eine dieser Tasten sollte für das Bootmenü sein.

Kommt darauf an wie du den USB-Stick als Installationsmedium erstellt hast.

Man hat ja zur Auswahl ob für MBR bzw. GPT bzw. UEFI.

Das Z77X-UD5H hat lt. den Spezifikation der Produktwebseite bereits ein UEFI. Wenn der Stick für GPT/ UEFI erstellt wurde, so sollte der USB-Stick auch mit der Kennung UEFI auftauchen.

Kannst dir via [F12]-Taste das Bootmenü aufrufen und dort gucken wie er dort gelistet ist.

Als erstes hat mich Hilde gefragt ob du dir mit der Bootfähigkeit sicher bist und warum du das nicht mit dem MS media Creation Tool gemacht hast.

Dann hat sich Hilde das Handbuch angesehen:

Function Keys:

Press the <Delete> key to enter BIOS Setup or to access the Q-Flash utility in BIOS Setup.

<F12>: BOOT MENU

Boot Menu allows you to set the first boot device without entering BIOS Setup. In Boot Menu, use the up
arrow key <h> or the down arrow key <i> to select the first boot device, then press <Enter> to accept.
The system will boot from the device immediately.

Note: The setting in Boot Menu is effective for one time only. After system restart, the device boot order
will still be based on BIOS Setup settings.

Removable storage devices that support GPT format will be prefixed with "UEFI:" string on the boot device

Danke für Eure Hilfe.
So richtig komme ich nicht weiter.
Boot-Menü mit F12 aufgerufen, nur ich sehe den USB Stick da nicht.
Ich habe mal meine Bootoption und teile vom Bios eingestellt.
Wo muß ich etwas im Bios einstellen damit von meinen USB Stick gebootet werden kann. Nicht nur WinX auch so eine Rettungsstick mit Win32 Disk Imager auf USB Stick installiert.

ich habe mir jetzt zwei Sticks erstellt. Einen mit Rufus auf MBR Status und ein mit dem MS media Creation Tool . Weiter geht es nicht.

Es kann sein dass dieses Mobo kein USB Boot erlaubt.
Ich habe soeben einen bootable Ubuntu 18.04 live server USB erstellt.
Der USB Stick erscheint in der Tat nicht im Boot Menu.

Ich habe die Lösung dafür gefunden:
Ich habe einen USB Stick mit Rufus erstellt, dabei darauf geachtet, dass er UEFI fähig ist und ihn anschließend auf der Rückseite, in einen der roten USB- Ports, gesteckt. Beim Booten die Taste F12 gedrückt und - siehe da - der Stick wird angezeigt und es wird auch von dort gebooted. Probiert habe ich es mit dem AMD64 Image von GParted.
