I don't know why, but since day one I have had real trouble getting the iRadio Cube to attach to my wireless network. Other computers have no problems finding the network and they stay on for hours without problems, but the Cube?

Not even if I place it 1 meter away from the WiFi router it works. Sometimes is works 10 meters away, through walls an floors but right now, as I write this it just won't work, no matter what I do.

Any ideas? Can the antenna/reception be disturbed by something which doesn't bother wireless laptops?

I'm torn between loving the cube for it's sound and user interface and hating it because o it's WiFi instability.

Is there any possiblityto plugin a stronger antenna? Maybe this would solve the problem.

Case one: The W-Lan part of the cube has a malfunction/ is broken. ==> Exchange your cube for a new one or ask the TerraTec support for a solution of your problem.

Case two: The antenna of the cube is weak: #2 got the solution for the this case.

Did you contact the TerraTec support? Maybe your cube does not like your router, or your router does not like your cube... Test your cube with another router to make sure that this is not the case.

...disturbed by something which doesn't bother wireless laptops?
Thats hardly probable...

Just saw cnecne's posting on the exact same thing, changing security from WEP to WPA seems to help, I'm gonna try that.

I've thought of trying with a stronger antenna, but it must fit with the Cube.
Anyone with an idea of which kind of antenna I should try?

I have tried it with two routers, Zyxel and a Linksys, the Linksys is the one I have been able to use from time to time. The Zyxel appears rarely in "found networks".

Malfunction of the Wlan part of the cube. Sure hope not. I'd like to hear from Terratec if this issue is known, that the cube is poor at detecting networks?

Is there an email address to Terratec Support or is this forum the best written support you can get from Terratec? I have not been able to find anything else but phone numbers. When I tried to call them a few weeks ago regading the WLAN problem, none of them were answered

You can try if the Noxon connects to your WLAN network without any encryption (open network). When this works well the Noxon is for sure not broken. A stronger antenna should not help as there is no connection when the Noxon is 1m away. Only some bluetooth devices may disturb WLAN, but then other devices should not be able to establish a connection aswell.

Please try the following (in this order) and try if it works then each time:
1) Change the channel of your WLAN broadcast in your router.
2) Use WPA (2) encryption instead of WEP (very senseful in any way as WPA is much more secure)
3) Update both the firmware of your router and the Noxon (Noxon to beta firmware 6909)
