Hauppauge WinTV Nova-T PCI Modell 928 oder 909?

Ich habe eine Frage :-)

Derzeit sind zwei Modelle der WinTV Nova-T im Programm. Das Modell 909 mit Philips-Chips und das neue Modell 928 (90002) mit Chips von Conexant. Da ich bei TV-Karten überhaupt nicht auf dem Laufenden, steht nun eure Erfahrung zwischen den Kauf des einen oder anderen Modells.

Was könnt ihr mir empfehlen? Ist eine komplett andere Karte vielleicht sogar die noch bessere Wahl?

Comparing the two chipsets Conextant and Philips, is difficult, the Conextant is 10bit and the Philips is 9bit, however that doesn't mean the Philips is lower quality, if anything what it does mean (and from footage I've seen captured) the Philips is slightly less prone to noise and interference (ie RFI) than the Conextant chip. So if your input signal quality is slightly inferior, then the Conextant based cards may infact make the problem worse.

However on another note, the Philips cards can look slightly soft, but 95% of people wouldn't notice that if they don't have two different designed cards, and capture the identical footage then compare at frame level.
