Making an Emergency Flash Disk

As we all know, sometimes a flash goes bad and we wind up with a blank screen and the realization that we have to perform the dreaded "Blind Flash".
Note: This guide is written with nVFlash 4.42 in mind. Other versions may require that different command parameters be used. Consult the text file or type nvflash -? for a list of the commands.
With a little bit of advance planning you can eliminate the difficulty of having to type commands with a blank screen.
Here is how this can be done:
Make a bootable floppy disk - format a floppy disk through Windows Explorer by right-clicking on the disk, click format, put a check next to "Create an MS-DOS startup disk", type in a Volume Label if you like, then press Start.
Copy nvFlash.exe and cwsdpmi.exe onto the floppy.
Use Notepad to create a text file named Autoexec.bat. This file should contain the line "nvflash -p -u -2 -f backup.rom". When you save the file to the floppy, be sure that the file extension is .bat and not .txt!
Note: If you don't wish the process to run automatically, you can name the file something else such as "fix.bat". In which case you'd need to type "fix" then press "enter" to run the batch file.
Copy your backup bios file named backup.rom to the floppy. If you haven't backed up your bios yet then you should do so before you even think about flashing your card!
Backing up your bios.
Be sure to zip your backup bios file and send it to Mavke!
If you need to flash your backup.rom bios to your card, insert this floppy and reboot your PC. The process is automatic, nvflash will run flashing your card with backup.rom . Wait a few minutes to be sure the process is complete, eject the floppy, and reboot by pressing Ctrl-Alt-Del. Don't press Reset!
Warning: if you named your batch file Autoexec.bat then use this disk only when you need to flash backup.rom to your card. Whenever your computer boots with this disk inserted it will automatically flash your card.

Flashing with WFFlash (Leadtek) - Use WFFlash v5.1 or 5.6
Standard Procedure:
1. a:wfflash.exe -s backup.rom [Enter] (to backup the Orginal BIOS)
2. a:wfflash.exe file.rom [Enter] (to flash your card with a new BIOS)
Non Standard Procedure:
(In case the Standard Procedure doesn't work)
2*. a:wfflash.exe NM File.rom [Enter]
