Lightscribe Progs erkennen HP DVD840i nicht mehr

meine Lightscribe Progs, zB. SureThing Labeler oder SimpleLightscribe erkennen meinen 840i nicht mehr.
Ich hatte heute nach einiger Zeit das erste mal wieder versucht ein Label zu brennen.
Vorher ging es tadellos.
Habe schon die Lightscribe Engine und die Hp Firmware geupdated.

Weiß jetzt aber nicht mehr so recht weiter.

die Progs hatte ich auch schon neu installiert. Normales brennen funzt auch noch.

Hast Du das Problem mittlerweile gelöst? Dank Vista stehe ich vor dem gleichen Problem und weiß nicht weiter.

Nein hab ich leider nicht. Lightscribe brennen kann ich seitdem nicht mehr.
Ich habe weder bei HP noch sonst wo eine Lösung gefunden.

Thank you for your request for help.

Please try the following.


The LightScribe Uninstall Utility will uninstall the corrupt LightScribe system software and enable you to re-install it.


1. Download and Save the LightScribe Uninstall Utility.

2. Unzip the “LSSuninstall_utility.zip” file with winZip.


3. Double click the “LssUninstall_xxxxx.exe” to run the uninstall utility.

4. After running the uninstall utility, reboot your system.


5. Download and install the software update from Nero’s website. It uses a different install package and may resole your problem. The LightScribe system software available on Nero’s site is compatible with other labeling applications.


Here's the URL for the Nero LightScribe update web page, current version 1.6.43.1, it should all go in one line on your browser address entry. Scroll to the bottom of the page and use the Download LightScribe Host Software Button.
