Tv-Out läuft nicht unter Windows, aber DOS

Hiho!

Folgendes Problem: Ich hatte bisher eine TNT2Ultra, bei der der TV-Out problemlos funktionierte. Jetzt bin ich auf die GeForce3 Ti200 (MSI) umgestigen und kann weder über die Geräteauswahl in den nVidia-Treibern, noch mit Tv-Tool 5.5 den TV-Out aktivieren. Bei den Treibern (Detonator 28.32 offiz.) steht der Punkt gar nicht zur Auswalh (grau), das TV-Tool gibt die Fehlermeldung "There seems to be a problem with your user data.Please contact support@tvtool.de for further assistance!" aus (unter Win2K), bzw. sagt, dass es den TV-Out-Chip nicht erkennen kann (WinME).

Der TV-Chip ist ein Conexant Bt868. Ein neues Bios steht auf der Website noch nicht zur Verfügung, die Detonator sind auch die neusten.

Ich hab den Rechner runtergefahren, den Monitor abgezogen und nur den TV-Out am Rechner angeschlossen. Solange sich der Rechner noch im DOS-Bereich befand und hochfuhr, wurde das Bild korrekt auf dem Fernseher dargestellt (über S-Video und Scart-Adapter). Wenn Windows (sowohl 2K als auch ME) jedoch startet und der Anmeldebildschirm erscheint, funktioniert der TV-Out nicht mehr richtig. Das Bild ist dann extrem verzerrt, es ist in die Länge gezogen, hat sehr viele schwarze Streifen und wandert langsam von links unten nach rechts oben (grobe Beschreibung); erkennen lässt sich praktisch nichts mehr, bis auf die Desktopfarbe.

Auch in anderen Rechner tritt das Problem auf gleiche Art und Weise auf, während meine TNT2Ultra, wiedereingebaut, tadellos funktioniert.

Bevor ich jetzt alle möglichen Treiberversionen durchprobiere, wollte ich mal fragen, ob das Problem bekannt ist, bzw. woran es liegen könnte. Einige von euch haben ja (sicherlich) auch die MSI Ti200 Pro-VT und können mir hoffentlich sagen, ob das normal ist oder ob bei ihnen alles ohen Probleme klappt, so dass ich berechtigte Zweifel an der Funktionalität meiner Karte haben und sie umtauschen kann...

Für dieses und andere Probleme der Karte habe ich diese Lösung im Netz gefunden:
HERE is what I did:

A) Use the MSI's liveupdate to download the ver 18.00 Bios (Same version found on your MSI Installer CD) When you do this, you are are actually also downloading MSI's Bios Flash utility. Keep this Utility, and the Bios file

B) Then download NVIDIA's reference Bios version 320.19.00 (NAME: 3201900.100)

C) Change the name and extention of the Bios file from 3201900 to MSI Flash friendly bios name as "N8850MS" and .100 to .rom (3201900.100 to N8850MS.rom)

D) Now use Ray Adam's Nvidia Bios Editor, open your created N8850MS.ROM file, and make your Bios Editing...

1) Change the Sub Vendor to 1462 which is MSI's Vendor ID
2) In the Sub Device ID, type in 8850, whcih is the MSI model number
3) You may also check the "Enable Memory Size" Option to show your card memory whenever you start up your computer,; and the "Enable Sign On Message" to show your Message. You can Edit the Sign on Message to your own delight ( "NVIDIA Geforce3 VGA BIOS")

E) Choose "save" to save your edited Bios.,Then again, rename the saved file file's Extention ,hence: N8850MS.rom to N8850MS.100

F) Now use your donwloaded MSI Bios Flash, Overwrite MSI's Original N8850MS.100 Bios file with your newly edited one

E) Run the "MSISetup" Bios automatic Bios Flash and Voila. Your CPU will need to be rebooted for the new Bios to take effect.

DO THESE AT YOUR OWN RISK, I will try to trace back where I downloaded those programs, so sorry for forgetting the links,..this took me 3 days to find this solution..t..................


Ich bin derzeit noch auf der Suche nach dem Referenz Bios, wer weis wo es das gibt möchte es bitte posten.
