jo,ich hab was:
The problem: Mic2 setting gets switched to mic1 when running certian games/programs.
First off this isnt a Creative issue, its an issue with the game/program itself. Apparently on load up of map/server it changes the mic input to mic 1 regardless of settings in windows/CL mixer. No option to change in game is given nor is there a current method of editing a .con file to make it work as of yet.
Work aroundfor BF2: After map load or server change , Alt-Tab out to CL mixer and reselect Mic2 as device. Alt-Tab back and test the mic in options /sound in game. Some have reported that you have to go to options first and test before making changes and after.
Possible solution for CS2: " voice_forcemicrecord 0 " in userconfig.
3rd party solution:
http://www.muvaudio.com/muvixer/ This works by allowing you to set wich port/line you want to use and then polling at intervals and resetting it to what you want when ever a program hijacks it. I use this program saves alot of hassle.
Hope this helps and thanks to the forum crew here for assistance. Please feel free to expand or add solutions.
