GPT boot mit Bios

Hallo Leute ich wollte nur kurz fragen kann ich meine MBR SSD zu GPT konvertieren und dann auch davon booten mit meinen Bios (Hybrid EFI) System ich finde im Internet beides ja und nein kann mir da jemand bitte helfen? PS. Kann ich das danach auch auf meiner nicht boot HDD durchführen danke😃

Jep, MBR2GPT.EXE.
Mach vorher ein Backup Deiner Daten sicherheitshalber.

Hatte ich vor ein paar Monaten auch gemacht.
Hab allerdings MB mit "echtem" UEFI. Weiß nicht, was Du mit "Hybrid" meinst.

Mach Dir auch schon mal einen Win10-Bootstick klar ... oder welches Betriebssystem Du auch immer nutzt.

Das Board unterstützt leider nur Gigabytes "Hybrid EFI", was ein Marketingname für ein ganz normales BIOS ist, wo sie ein paar EFI-Funktionen für etwa Festplatten über 2 TB implementiert haben.
Updaten kann man da leider nix.

Wenn das Board kein UEFI hat, geht auch kein GPT für ein System Laufwerk .

Sieht so, dass für Dein H61-Board nur Touch-BIOS unterstützt wird, kein UEFI(-BIOS).

Das spezielle UEFI(-BIOS) soll nur ab 67er-Boards erhältlich sein z.B. dieses Z68:

Das UEFI(-BIOS) wurde erst 2016 hinzugefügt.

Da steht:

Gigabyte’s 6-series motherboards still use an old-school Award BIOS. However, they incorporate an EFI bootloader to enable support for hard drives larger than 2.2TB. You’ll need a Gigabyte software utility to use the full capacity of those drives on older operating systems, but the app isn’t required for Windows 7 x64, which is the OS we expect most folks to be running with 6-series motherboards.

Mit MBR wären ohnehin keine Partitionen größer 2 TiB (ca. 2,2 TB) auf herkömmlichen Festplatten möglich.

Im Handbuch zum Mainboard steht ebenfalls:

CD/DVD Boot Option: Set this item to EFI if you want to install the operating system to a hard drive larger than 2.2 TB. Make sure the operating system to be installed supports booting from a GPT partition, such as Windows 7 64-bit and Windows Server 2003 64-bit.

Okay, es scheint, dass sich ... mit etwas Glück ... das BIOS doch noch überreden lassen könnte ... von GPT zu booten.

@alle danke für eure antworten die Konvertierung und das booten hat problemlos geklappt musste nur im Bios legacy-boot deaktivieren
