Hey there :)

I'm trying to figure out the science behind video recording. And the most difficult part for me now is to connect two pieces of microphone recording two people talking into one smothly running sound line. Does anybody has any experience or tips on how to do it in an easy way?

The camera I'm using: Panasonic GH5
Microphone: Lavaliermikrofon (Niere)

For your precious advice I promise lots of points to your karma (of course :D) ^^

LG,
Anna

No, you can't connect 2 microphones parallel, you must use a (small) mixer.

Für die Deutschen: Mit "Mixer" ist kein Küchengerät gemeint, sondern ein Mischpult!

Hey Anna, for which reason do you want them to be on the same sound line?
It should be overall easier, to have two separated sound lines, which were started at the same momrnt, so that you have then more options in the editing part, like the higher the sound of one person, in the case that the one person has spoken much quiter than thr other one. Therefore it is a gift, to have those persons audio separated, instead of partial highering one soundline, which means, that you have to listen very exactly, set al lot of marks, and make two sound lines out of one, only to correct a silent speaker. - And especially when you have the situation - I have done several interviews as a schooltask. - that both persons are speaking at the same moment, and you online have one audio line, it's pita to get it fixed.

May I ask you a question; why do you ask in a german speaking forum, when you are more homely with the english language, I mean, there are several english forums, with even more people, which might help you.

Just record both people seperately. You can merge the two tracks afterwards by using software like Davinci Resolve. The other way to record two people is to use the same microphone for both of them of of course, but two tracks are much more helpful.
