Ich schreibe das mal hier rein, LCD is ja sozusagen Media.
habe heute mein LCD fertig gelötet..
alles schön und gut hintergrund beleuchtung und so geht..
bloss leider zeigt es mir mit LCD smartie sowie mit LCD CENTER und JA LCD nur hyroglyphen ab.. darauf hin habe ich mir ein debug tool besorgt..

dort konnte man auswählenm on in 4BIT oder 8Bit schreiben, weiss nich ob das die datenübertragung zum LCD is, glaub ich aber..
ja in 4Bit ging es wunderbar. er zeigt sogar alles an
in 8Bit schreibt er erst alles schoen aus. und wischt dann nochma drüber und ändert manche Zeichen.
hat vielleicht jemand eine Ahnung woran es liegen kann? erfahrung? oder weiss wie ich in JALCD es auf 4Bit change.

My display lights up and shows text, but it's all garbage.
This is almost always a sign of a baud rate conflict. When telling LCDriver what port to use for your display, there are TWO things to set: the port location (COM1, COM2, LPT1, etc) on your machine, and the speed at which to communicate. Even if the port is correct, the display will not work if the speed is set incorrectly.
The speed on the LCD must match the speed you set on the LCDriver control panel. For CrystalFontz and Seetron units this is set with small switches on the back - for Matrix Orbital displays, you can run a program to set it. However, it's much easier to use the default speed of 19200 for Matrix Orbital, since it's the fastest you can run. CrystalFontz units come set to 19200 baud out of the factory for v2.0 firmware, and 9600 baud for v1.x firmware.
