Linux Mint 11 stürzt auf Netbook häufiger ab

Guten Abend CBler,

ich habe schon seit ein paar Monaten auf meinem Netbook (Typ: Asus EeePC 1000H) die Linux Distribution Mint 11, auch als Katya bekannt, installiert, da XP auf dem Netbbok, das von der Hardware ja nun wirklich eine Möhre ist, eher ruckelte und mehr schlecht als recht lief.

Seit ein paar Wochen jedoch tritt in unregelmäßigen Abständen das Phänomen auf, dass das OS 'crasht' und mich nach ein paar Sekunden zum log-in Bildschirm weiterleitet. Das ganze ist recht nervig, wie ihr euch sicherlich alle vorstellen könnt. Deshalb wollte ich hier mal nachfragen, ob einer schon ähnliche Probleme hatte.

Ich hab zwar schon ein bisschen gegooglet, aber nichts aufschlußreiches gefunden, bin auch kein Experte im umgang mit Linux, dies ist mit der Ausnahme von parted magic und gparted mein erster richtiger Kontakt mit Linux.

Einzige Auffälligkeit: in >90% der Fälle habe ich gerade Opera verwendet, was an sich allerdings nicht ungewöhnlich ist, da ich das Netbook fast ausschließlich zum surfen benutze.

Das klingt für mich so als würde sich der X-Server verabschieden.
Leider weiß ich a) nicht ob das stimmt und b) nicht ob dir das weiterhilft, sollte die Vermutung stimmen. Vielleicht kann ja jemand anders noch etwas detaillierteres beitragen.
 
Ja das ist definitiv der X-Server (oder gdm).

Wenn das ganze wieder passiert, poste mal die Ausgabe des "dmesg"-Befehls. Die Inhalte von /var/log/Xorg.0.log etc. könnten auch helfen.
 
Eventuell Probleme mit Flash?
Videobeschleunigung die dann zu dem Problem führt.

Schau mal dass Flash aktuell ist.
Welche Grafikhardware ist da verbaut?

Könnte aber auch an Opera oder Flash, wie schon vermutet liegen.

Das kann gerne auch mal den X-Server mitreißen und zum Neustart zwingen. dmesg wäre aber trotzdem schön :)
 
Hey, vielen Dank schon mal für eure Antworten.

Das mit Flash ist durchaus möglich, die Videowiedergabe ließ stets zu wünschen übrig, sodass ich ich vor einiger Zeit irgendetwas für Flash runtergeladen habe. Gibt es eine Möglichkeit über den Paketmanager herauszufinden was es war?

Ok bin auch etwas unter Zeitdruck deswegen kann ich mir die Ausgabe von dmesg nicht gleich ansehen.

Was war denn das was du für Flash geladen hast? Ging das über die Paketverwaltung oder hast du was kompiliert/kopiert? Ersteres ist gut das ist herauszufinden, zweiteres wird etwas schwerer.
 
Ich bin mir recht sicher, dass es über die Paketverwaltung, eventuell sogar die Softwareverwaltung lief. Ich hab mich gewundert, warum das Netbook eben mit der Videowiedergabe zu kämpfen hat, also hab ich was gegoogelt und in einem Linux Mint Forum den Tipp gelesen, dass man ein Zusatzpaket für Flash herunterladen soll, was ich dann ja auch getan habe.

Wie kann ich denn die Flashversion prüfen?

Suche einfach in der Paketverwaltung nach Flash.
Dann müsstest du auch das Zusatzpaket finden.

AW: Linux Mint 11 schmiert immer noch auf Netbook ab

Hey,

kleines Update:

Ich hab jetzt mal alle flash-Pakete überprüft aber nix gefunden; das Paket, dass ich runtergeladen habe war ein Zusatzpaket für den flashplayer aber auch ohne das Paket tritt der Fehler auf. Mehr noch, heute ist es sogar nur beim chatten passiert und langsam geht mir das extrem auf die Nerven.


Soll ich noch irgendwelche logs posten? Sagt sofort Bescheid, wenn ihr irgendwelche Infos braucht, antworte so schnell und präzise wie möglich.

Poste doch bitte mal /var/log/Xorg.0.log. Dann bitte /etc/X11/xorg.conf.

Was hast du denn für einen Kernel? Evtl benötigt Gnome zu viele Ressourcen. Probier mal z.b. LXDE für dein Mint zu installieren. Da brauchst du erst mal nicht weiter an deinem System zu verändern.

Aber poste erst mal die Ausgaben von oben
 
Vielleicht doch eher ein Problem mit mangelnden Reourcen für die Gnome Desktop-Vaiante?

Es gibt von Ubuntu Oberflächen die extra für Netbooks entwickelt wurden und etwas mehr in Richtung Ressourcenschonen getrimmt sind. Die Gnome Variante gibts mit ubuntu-netbook, LXDE ist glaub ich mit lubuntu-netbook installierbar.

In der Xorg.0.log konnte ich keine Fehler finden. Die xorg.conf ist seit einigen Monaten nur noch optional wenn proprietäre Treiber genutzt werden z.b., die Intel Chipsätze werden über HAL erkannt welches wiederum X "informiert". Passt soweit also alles.

Falls doch noch mal sein sollte bitte melden :-)
