Hallo,
zwecks Visual Styles Änderung will ich die shell32.dll Datei im System32 Odner ersetzen.
Ich habe die Admineistellungen bereits so angepasst, dass dies möglich ist. Zur Datensicherung kann ich die shell32.dll auch in shell32.dll.back umbenennen, wenn ich dann aber meine neue shell32.dll einfüge, erscheint das Kopierfenster und kopiert alles. Nur am Schluss ist die Datei nicht im Ordner.
Mit explorer.exe im windows ordner, und explorerframe.dll hat es bereits so funktioniert. Warum geht shell32.dll nicht?

1. First step is installing the fonts. Right click on the selected fonts and choose install.

2. Now you need a patched system, that means you have to patch your system files.
There is a nice tool available that helps you with the work:
UniversialUxthemePatcher [get it here: http://deepxw.blogspot.com/2008/11/universal-theme-patcher.html ]

3. The next step is the copying of the theme. Go into your just downloaded ThaImpact folder and open the
theme folder. You should see 2 items: 'ThaImpact' folder AND 'ThaImpact.theme' file
Copy these items to C:\windows\resources\themes

4. Well at the moment you can select the visual style, but you are not having all its graphics. (Back/forward buttons, start orb..)
To add these graphics switch to the folder system files. You'll see the RTM files inside the folder. So use the right file
that fits to your system. First you have to take ownership of the original files.
[windows folder: explorer.exe; system32 folder: shell32.dll/explorerframe.dll]
If you are unsure how to do it, read this tutorial:

Then you should rename the original files to something different: e.g. explorer.exe to explorer.exe.BAK
Now you are able to copy the modified system files in the respective folder.
But be sure to make a backup (and create a restore point!) before replacing the system files.
