Treiber 91.47 inkompatibel zu 7950GT

Hallo zusammen,

wie ich in einem anderen Thread schon erwähnt habe, funktionierte der 91.47 Nividida Treiber bei meiner 7950GT nicht.
Der 91.45 Treiber von der CD dagegen schon.

Fehlermeldung bei Beginn der Installation war:
Das NVIDIA Setup Programm konnte keine Treiber finden, die mit der aktuellen Hardware kompatibel sind.

Gleiches Problem habe ich in einem anderen Forum gefunden: Anandtech

Die Lösung des Problems:

Man muss an den Dateien modes.txt und nv4_disp.inf Änderungen vornehmen, da wohl Nvidia es verpennt hat, in ihre 91.47 Treiber die Untertützung der 7950GT einzubauen, trotz das die 7950GT expliziet als unterstütztes Gerät auf der Website erwähnt wird.

In beiden Dateien des Treibers 91.47 fehlt der Eintrag zur 7950GT. In den auf CD mitgelieferten Treibern sind die Einträge vorhanden. Dies habe ich mit Beyond und Compare herausgesucht.

Da ich mir hier nicht sicher war, welcher Eintrag es war, hab ich gleich alles kopiert.
Ich vermute aber das nur dieser ausgreicht hätte:

Aber ich sahs als Herausvorderung an, herauszufinden an was es lag und wollte keine Beta installieren ;-)

Das wird sicher einigen Usern weiterhelfen. Obwohl wahrscheinlich nächstens mit einer neuen offiziellen Treiberversion zu rechnen ist.
