Ubuntu Edgy mit vlc 0.8.1 bzw 0.8.4 ?

Hallo!

Also ich hab jetzt wieder auf Ubuntu umgestellt nachdem mir suse zu doof wurde. Aber nun muss ich folgendes feststellen. Kann es sein das es keine Möglichkeit gibt eine der obengenannten player auf ubuntu edgy zum laufen zu bekommen?

ich finde einfach keine packages mehr für edgy? währe echt klasse wenn mir jemand hälfen könnte. weil vlc 0.8.6 macht nur probleme bei mir.

Scheint nicht so, als ob es eine Version darunter für Edgy gab. Musst Sie dir dann selbst kompilieren, oder die (stable) Dapper-Version nutzen. Das klappt in jedem Fall.

Kann man doch einfach aus den Repos installieren. Da ist sogar der 0.85er drin. (bei feisty zumindest, also dürfte er ja bei edgy auch dabei sein)

Also eigentlich musst du nur die Version installieren, die du mit "sudo apt-get install wxvlc" kriegst.

Wenn du speziell nur die 0.81 bzw. die 0.84 willst, musst du dir wohl wie len schon schrieb den source code ziehen und selbst kompilieren bzw. dir eine *.deb besorgen und die dann von Hand installieren.
