usb 2 viel zu langsam

hallo,
ich habe eine externe festplatte icybox an meinen asus board am usb2 anschluss angesteckt,nun wollte ich wie früher ein image machen mit ghost.als das image gestertet war war die geschwindigkeit normal ca 900mb/min dann nimmt sie aber stetig ab bis ca 440mb/min und schliesslich bricht das image bei 80% dann ab.

was soll das???unter windows funkt sie ja auch.

Hallo!

Ich tippe auf ein Treiberproblem. Vielleicht klappt es, wenn Du das Image zuerst auf eine interne HDD machst und dann auf die externe rüberkopierst.

Da Ghost wohl im Dosmodus arbeitet, solltest Du evtl mal versuchen mit Smartdrive zu arbeiten. Pack auf die Diskette von wo Du Ghost startest mal die smartdrv.exe drauf und lass sie in der Startreihenfolge mitstarten, bevor Ghost gestartet wird.

Installs and configures the SMARTDrive disk-caching utility.

SMARTDRV [/X] [[drive[+|-]]...] [/U] [/C | /R] [/F | /N] [/L] [/V | /Q | /S]
[InitCacheSize [WinCacheSize]] [/E:ElementSize] [/B:BufferSize]

drive(s) will have write-caching disabled unless you add +.

wie binde ich den smartdriver ein?und wo?
hab gerade das ide interne kabel getauscht aber es ging trotzdem net

kann es am controller liegen?
das komische is halt das meine alte usb2 externe plade ohne probleme lief
erst als ich jetzt das icybox ghäause eholt hab spinnts.....
