leisere Lüfter für die Synology DS1821+

Hallo,

ich bin auf der Suche nach neuen bzw. leiseren Lüftern für meine Synology DS1821+.
Wie ich im Netz gelesen habe, müssten es 4 Pin Lüfter sein.

Hat jemand eventuell seine Lüfter in seiner NAS ausgetauscht und hat eventuell paar Tips?

Reicht z.B so ein Lüfter oder sollte er mehr RPM haben?
 
Also das ist der Lüfter, den Synology verbaut bzw. als Ersatzteil anbietet. https://www.synology.com/de-de/products/spare_parts?search_by=product&model=DS1821+ Größe und Pins passen bei deiner Auswahl also.
Du kannst glaube ich in den Einstellungen nachschauen, mit welcher Drehzahl der aktuelle Lüfter dreht.

Ich finde es kommt auch auf die Bestückung an, weil Synology von 8 HDDs ausgehen muss, wenn du aber nur 4 verbaust oder auch SSDs dabei sind kann es auch ein Lüfter mit geringerer Drehzahl sein.
Ich habe ein QNAP mit 2 Bays und die Lüfter in einer mehr oder weniger eleganten Aktion getaucht und einen größeren genommen und er läuft mit 2 SSDs mit 450rpm und die Temps sind ok.
Generell: recht teures Gerät, du verlierst beim Tausch auf jeden Fall die Garantie... (das weißt du denke ich aber ;) )

Hast du die Lüfter in den Energieeinstellungen schon auf leise gestellt?

den Artikel hatte ich auch schon gelesen. Ich werde es einfach mal mit der 1700er rpm Version testen.

ja die Lüfter sind schon auf leise gestellt. Jedoch hört man Sie trotdem noch deutlich wenn die Festplatten im Ruhezustand sind.
 
Du hast die Konfig nochmal nachgearbeitet mit den Noctuas?

Meine DS ist ebenfalls ein Radaubruder - die Lüfter sind im Verhältnis zum Preis der DSen eine Frechheit.
Trotz anderer Einstellungen in der scemd.xml nicht tragbar, wenngleich besser als vorher.

In der original Datei sind ja "stiller & kühler Modus" gleich eingestellt. Das habe ich bei mir schon einmal geändert und ein wenig an den Werten gedreht.

Die Diskstation mit 6 von 8 Platten steht ca. 2 m hinter mir auf einem Schrank und es ist echt kein Vergleich mehr zu den original Lüftern. Die Temperaturen sind auch voll ok.

Hast du dich mit Blick auf die geplante scemd.xml absichtlich für die 1700er Lüfter entschieden, statt etwa für die 1200er? So im Sinne, wenn er triggert, dann soll er auch ordentlich pusten.

Die 700er Silent fielen ja glaub ich raus wegen 4-Pin-Zwang.

PS: Ich hab übrigens auf DSM 7 gewechselt und seitdem das Gefühl, dass die CPU etwas höhere Temp-Werte meldet. Verstehe ich aus Last-Gründen nicht wirklich, aber verändert ggf. den Threshold - falls du ähnliche Erfahrungen machen solltest.
 
Warum nicht einen NF-A12x25. Da sind ja auch Adapter dabei für einen leisen Betrieb. Sehr leiser 120mm Lüfter.

Ich hatte irgendwo gelesen das die 1200er nicht problemlos laufen würden und man diese Probleme mit den 1700ern nicht haben sollte.

Das mit den höheren Werten seit DSM 7 ist mir auch aufgefallen. Jedoch ist mir dann aufgefallen das durch das Update meine angepasste "scemd.xml" wieder durch die originale überschrieben wurde.

Habe dann die Datei wieder ausgetauscht und nun ist bei mir wieder alles beim alten. Was für Temperaturen hast Du denn im Leerlauf (System und HDD`s) ?

Passiert bei jedem Update - nicht schön, aber handelbar.
