Yes...PowerVR wieder im Rennen wäre nett. Allerdings sieht das laut dem Artikel alles noch (zumindest) für den PC Bereich sehr wackelig aus. Aber ich drück die Daumen.

Mal sehen obs der Gammachrome bis auf den Weltmarkt schafft.
S3 + PowerVR als neue Mitbewerber, ich glaube das bleibt zwar wunschdenken aber der Markt würde dann wenigstens wieder richtig Interessant werden.

oh jaaaaa das wird dann aber geil, dann gibts einen neuen Konkurenten, und von nunan schlagen sie sich zu 3 ich hoff es klappt

Wenn sie wie so eine revoultionäres Feature wie bei der Kyro bringen dann wird das vielleicht klappen

Ich finde das sehr begrüßenswert und hoffe sehr, daß sich hier was tut. Auf dem Grafikkartensektor gibt es ungesund wenig Konkurrenz.

Hach, wenn ich da an die alten Zeiten und den "Krieg" zwischen 3dfx und PowerVR denke... war genauso albern, wie der heute zwischen NV und ATI

Schade, daß es bei XGI und S3 nicht so geklappt hat. Die kamen einfach zu spät.

zu spät ists nie. Wenn sie intelligent sind prollen sie nicht mit 200X-Marktführung sondern bringen überdurchschnittlich gute Mid/Lowrange-Karten raus und verscheuern die zu einem lächerlichen Preis. Damit macht man natürlich erstmal Verlust, aber schlagen einen Keil in den Markt und machen sich bekannt und beliebt. Gute Werbung natürlich vorausgesetzt. Die nächste Generation kann dann ins obere Mittelsegment aufsteigen und eventuell sogar auf einer Nulllinie (Finanzmittel) laufen. So hat man 2 Jahre Zeit die Technik fit zu bekommen um dann mit einer ganzen Palette an Karten anzumarschieren und den Markt in 3 Anstatt 2 Kuchenstücke schnippeln. Einfach gesagt, schwer ausgeführt. Glaube aber nicht das es unmöglich ist.
