We need more time for developers to finish all their work. I know that many of you were dreaming about playing "The Witcher" on Christmas but... well, all I can say is: good game needs time . As an RPG fans you probably know that development process for big RPGs is really time consuming. Especially if you speak about non-linear ones
Please remember that "The Witcher" being developed by current team is in development phase since 2,5 year (before that it was developed by a different team and it was totally different project - it was rather preproduction phase). As for an RPG, this is not very long time. If you think about games like BG or Gothic you’ll notice that development process for those games was 3 or even 4 years.
Our main task is to give you the best game we can. And this is our goal. If the guys from production thinks that they need more time to achive this goal... then we need to give them this time . That's my and firm's opinion. Hope you understand it folks.
Behind this game there is our passion, work but also huge money. There is too much to loose for CD Projekt if we release game full of "bugs" or something.
I don't want to fool you around with some fables... Development of the game is very complicated process and changes of the release dates are normal in this business. So, you know that we don't do this for fun. If we change terms and dates we do it because we want to have a good game.
There are many materials prepared for you in near future so you'll be able to see that "The Witcher" is doing very, very well. Just a little more time guys
