hab mir heute den wrt54g/l gekauft und tomato wunderbar ans laufen gekriegt.

gibt es die möglichkeit, automatisiert, wlan innerhalb eines bestimmten zeitraums abzuschalten, z.B. von 0:00 Uhr bis 15:00 Uhr?
Sodass es auch nur dann an ist, wenn ich es brauche?

ja, die funktion gibt es.
Leider weiß ich gerade nicht wie der Punkt bei Tomato heißt, aber es geht.
Unter DD-WRT geht das natürlich auch.

Ich habe ein paar Fragen zu Tomato (versuche schon seit einigen Wochen OpenWRT nach meinen Wünschen zu konfigurieren, aber bis jetzt nur mit mäßigem Erfolg):
1) Kann ich mehrere virtuelle Access Points (VAPs) erstellen? (nutze Asus WL-500g + Atheros-WLAN)
2) Kann ich Bridging und Routing für jedes Interface einstellen?
3) Kann ich Tomato komplett auf einen USB-Stick kopieren und von da aus booten (mehr Speicherplatz für Scripte und Logs)?
4) Gibt es für Tomato ein Instrusion Detection System?

Weiß jemand ob bald auch die neuen Linksys Router, sprich wrt160 und aufwärts unterstützt werden?

Und zur Zeit habe ich Tomato drauf. Welche Version von dd-wrt muss ich flashen. Wollte das mal testen. Muss ich den Weg über die Mini gehen?

• DDNS now works even if WAN is disabled as long as DDNS uses an external checker or a pre-defined IP (Basic: DDNS:IP Address).
• TCP Vegas (TCP congestion control) added (enable in QOS:Settings), thanks to Rodney H.
• SYN cookies setting in Advanced:Firewall.
• Status: Device List now shows OUI, Static IP, Add Wireless Filter links in a separate line.
• Removed ebtables patch which appears to have caused various problems.
• Create Backup setting & Backup Link URL in Admin:Bandwidth.

Hi

nachdem ich langsam die schnauze von dd.wrt voll habe, such ich eine alternative. ... tomato? Ich brauche beruflich ganz dringend IPSec/VPN-Passthrough - kann das tomato? Bei dd.wrt setz ich hierfür im VPN-Menu nur 3 Hacken und das wars - keine Portforwards usw.

Es gibt eine VPN Mod die du dir mal anschauen kannst, ansonsten musst du dich mal im Forum umschauen.

Hi

der VPN Mod ist aber so wie ich das lese für die falsche Richtung zuständig.

Ich sitze zuhause, hab einen VPN-Client und logge mich damit bei meinem Arbeitgeber ein. Dafür brauch ich optimalerweise eine IPSec-Passthrough-Funktion. Der VPN-Mod geht davon aus das ich auf Arbeit sitze und mich zuhause einloggen möchte - das juckt mich null.

Hallo zusammen,
ich teste gerade eine Tomato Mod-Version "Tomato RAF 1.23.8514 by Victek".

Dort wird unter Firewall als NAT Target, "Masquerade" oder "SNAT (Source Network Address Translation)" angeboten.

Leider ist der Unterschied beider Möglichkeiten für mich nach dem lesen verschiedener Internetseiten schwer nachvollziehbar.
Welche NAT Target Methode sollte man bevorzugen?
