Windows 8 und Ubuntu (UEFI)

Hallo,
hätte noch ein paar Fragen dazu.
Verliert man UEFI also das schnelle booten wenn man Ubuntu installiert?
Wird GRUB dann als Bootloader genutzt und kann man den Schnellstart anlassen wenn Ubuntu auf einer anderen Partition ist?

Will Windows 8 und Ubuntu auf eine 128GB SSD installieren. Windows 8 habe ich schon.

Du kannst unter dem Windows Boot Loader auch Ubuntu hinzufügen jedenfalls mit Win 7 war das noch möglich.
UEFI nutze ich Persönlich nicht.
Du könntest den Sachverhalt aber im Ubuntu Wiki sicher nachlesen.

Kann man sicher auch nur wohl ohne UEFI eben sonnst gibts wohl unter umständen Datenverlust oder ähnliches.

Da wird von UEFI im Dual Boot abgeraten wird schon seine Gründe haben*g*.

Wenn ich mir den Heise bericht darüber durchlese muss ich schon ehrlich sagen,
das man mal wieder schlampig was umgesetzt hatt.
Sogar auf meinem alten Amiga 4000 war das besser umgesetzt (siehe AmigaOS 3.9)und der ist inzwischen schon wirklich alt!

Ich hab eine neue Partition auf meiner SSD erstellt und Ubuntu 13.04 drauf installiert.
EXT4 und /
Als installations Ort für den Bootloader habe ich die komplette SSD ausgewählt. Ist das richtig?
Nun wenn ich von der SSD boote bekomme ich nur ein blinkendes "_" oben links.
Windows 8 kann ich booten wenn ich den Windows Boot Manager beim Start auswähle. Was nun?

Ähm normal kommt der BootLoader in den MBR rein weiss ja nich wie du partitioniert hast und so.
Ich boote via grub und ohne UEFI der regelt das ganz ok auch für windows .
Wenn vielleicht dazu schreibst was du nun gemacht hast genau und was du willst wäre das nett.

Also,
bei der Installation von Ubuntu habe ich nicht die Option bekommen Ubuntu neben Windows 8 zu installieren obwohl beides im UEFI Modus ist.

Hab "etwas anderes" ausgewählt und eine / Partition erstellt. Ansonsten habe ich alles so gelassen.
Der Bootloader sollte auf die ganze SSD . hab auch mal versucht das es auf die EFI Partition soll aber bei beiden bekomme ich das gleiche Ergebnis.

Habe dann mit boot-repair, recommend repair ausgewählt und es hat sich nichts geändert.

Habe immer noch bei der Bootreihenfolge die Wahl die komplette SSD oder den Windows boot manager zu wählen.
Wenn ich die SSD wähle kommt ein schwarzer Bildhschirm mit einem blinkendem Unterstrich

No boot loader is installed in the MBR of /dev/sda.(die erste partition)
/dev/sda da tust du deinen grub Installieren und versuchst nochmal von der Festplatte zu booten.
Jo der linux boot loader will an die Stelle meistens den solltest du auf sda Installieren oder unter Windows den boot loader anpassen.

Hab es gemacht aber kein Erfolg.

Ich lass es einfach.....
Musste deswegen schon wieder mein System komplett neu aufsetzen und ich finde keine Lösung.
Bootrepair bringt in diesem Fall auch nichts.

Du hast doch ne SSD wozu schaltest eigentlich UEFI ein bist doch auch ohne schnell genug?
Naja schade ist wohl ne ziemliche aktion da das hinzubekommen.
Vielleicht ja nen anderes mal.
Immer wieder gerne bis dann nvidia der dunklen seite *g*

SSD=schnell
UEFI=schnell
UEFI+SSD= Superschnell

Es wird eh wieder ein Tag kommen wo ich Ubuntu auf meinem Rechner haben will .

Also mit einem langsamerem booten komme ich schon klar aber nur wenn es wirklich funktioniert(dualboot )

Ach jetzt habe ich 2 Stunden. Werde es testen

Bin gerade bei der installation aber ich denke das es danach läuft.

Windows 8 ohne UEFI installiert und eine 50GB Partition freigelassen.
Ubuntu auch ohne UEFI gebootet und während der Option war mal wieder keine Option es neben Windows 8 zu installieren.
Hab dann mit gdisk (findet man im Software Center) die GPT Struktur zerstört und seitdem habe ich die Option es neben Windows zu installieren.
Es hat nun eine 8GB Swap Partition erstellt.
Ich habe 8GB RAM. Benötige ich da SWAP überhaupt? Könnte es ja auch einfach löschen
