WMA or not?

Reading the technical details of the iRadio Cube, it says that WMA-9 is played up to 320 kbit/s, but I thought it couldn't play WMA at all? It says so multiple places, also on radio567.com:
"1. Why are some stations (such as the BBC) not available?
Certain stations, like the BBC, broadcast in a format that the WAA does not support. The WAA plays MP3 stations only, of which there are many available. However, it does not play stations that are in WMA or RealAudio format"

There is a difference between the audio file format WMA in general and the streaming technology that some stations use. WMA is the basical encryption and the Noxon can decode that one - but there may be issues with the streaming software a station uses.

Which is the internet radio you could not listen to?

I'd love to hear stations from Danish Radio (DR), our main broadcaster here in Denmark, but none of the stations DR P1, DR P2 or DR Klassisk fx. come through. Podcasts work fine though.
In radio567, DR stations are listed as using wma, so does fx. SR P2 from Sweden (plays fine) but the DR stations are not playing on my cube.

Otherwise, I think the Cube is really nice, so it frustrates me a bit that some of my favourite stations are near to the only ones not playing
The FM reception I am able to obtain for these stations is not too good which is why I'd like to hear them over the internet.

Hope you have an idea of what DR is doing different than the rest. I will ask them the same thing.

Haven't got a Cube, neither I'm Shaddi, :-)
but I've tested DR P2, DR P2 Plus, DR P4 Bornholm on a Noxon iRadio with the Stable 6392 and with the Beta 6909 Firmware, it runs quite well.

So maybe you got a Firmware on your iRadio Cube that doesn't support DR Radio?
Don't you say which Firmware the iRadio Cube used?

If you got the 6909 Beta Firmware, there must be another problem.

If you got 6875, there is one big problem with iRadio Cube update to 6909
You can't downgrade,
Terratec has not the original Firmware on the Ftp Server.

I Have got the latest Firmware from terratec for the cube, it updated 2 weeks ago, I'm gonna check the exact number tonight.
I'm waiting for Thomas/Shaddi to test the links, it may be a help to him what you write about your player, so thanks

Heyho, even though rain-s is not me he is quite experienced with the Noxons. Basically the Noxons should all be able to play or not play the same streams, no matter of the exact device.

I just tested DRP2 and DRP2 Plus with my iRadio Cube (FW 6909) and it works without any problem. Maybe your router restricts something there?

That helped, with the update to FW 6909 I can now pla it all and Inow also get info about the bitrate, which was also missing before.

Thanks to both of you. I may soon start a new topic since I have big trouble since day one to use the Cube wireless. But I will take a look at the forum first ...
