Nvidia hat pünktlich zum Start der GeForce RTX 3080 mit dem GeForce 456.38 GRD WHQL einen neuen Grafiktreiber veröffentlicht, der Unterstützung für die neuen Ampere-Grafikkarten bietet. Des Weiteren besitzt der Treiber Optimierungen für die neue Fortnite-Version, die Raytracing, DLSS und Nvidia Reflex bietet.
Zudem beinhaltet der GeForce 456.38 Optimierungen für Halo 3: ODST und Mafia: Definitive Edition. Als zusätzliche Neuerungen verfügt GeForce Experience nun über die Möglichkeit RTX-2000- und 3000-Grafikkarten automatisch zu übertakten. Einzug gehalten hat auch die Nvidia Broadcast App, die Livestreaming mit virtuellem Hintergrund und automatischer Audio-Rauschentfernung ermöglicht.
