Hi Guys,

I want to build a Gaming PC. Since Im pretty new to PC-Building (only helped building a Computer twice so far where the extensive knowledge on Hardware came from a friend), I wanted your opinions and suggestions for improvement on my plans:

CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D 8x 4.20GHz So.AM5 WOF

GPU: ZOTAC GAMING GeForce RTX 5080 Solid Core, 16384 MB GDDR7

Motherboard: ASUS ROG STRIX B650E-F GAMING WIFI Mainboard Sockel AMD AM5

Drive: 2TB Samsung 990 PRO M.2 PCIe 4.0 3D-NAND TLC

RAM: 32GB (2x 16GB) G.Skill Trident Z5 NEO EXPO

Power Supply: 850 Watt Seasonic Focus GX-850 Modular 80+ Gold

Cooler: Noctua NH-D15 Tower (Im thinking about adding a few be quiet! Light Wings PWM 3er-Pack 140x140x25mm 1500 U /min 23.3dB(A))

Case: Fractal Design Meshify 2 Midi Tower

Here are a few thoughts, why I chose these parts:

On one hand I play CPU-intensive ARPG-Games (like Path of Exile and Path of Exile 2) and hope the 3D-V-Cache of the Ryzen 7 will allow a constant high frame rate, on the other I like playing Games that are pretty demanding on the GPU like Cyberpunk. The new Computer should at least have a life span of 7 years, in which i dont want to upgrade my hardware too much, but still play new games, similar to the mentioned ones, without having FPS drops or suboptimal graphic settings. I thought about upgrading the RAM to 64, but read that for most games 32 should be fine for now and RAM is one of the easiest parts to upgrade (in my opinion - might be wrong). I dont think 850W are really needed, but i wanted a Power Supply that can efficiently supply enough energy without working at a 100% to reduce heat.

Do you guys have any remarks?

Thanks in advance ;)

Welcome in

since this is a german board, you did miss the correct subforum where we usually help and discuss on builds, which is here:

https://www.computerbase.de/forum/forums/desktop-computer-kaufberatung.65/

If you create a thread in there, you'll see a form to fill in, asking you several questions about your budget and what you'd like to achieve in terms of framerate etc.
please fill that in and use a translator if necessary.

if that is too much, I would maybe think about visiting another techforum in english, like tomshardware, linustechtips, etc.
