Phantasmagoria unter XP!

Hallo!

Habe noch den alten düsteren Klassiker "Phantasmagoria" zu Hause. Kennt ihr das auch noch? Damals war das Spiel ja für den 486er PC konzipiert und des weiteren wurde um es zu spielen ein sogenannter Hardware -Check am Anfang durchgeführt, um festzustellen ob es läuft.

Das Problem ist, das das Spiel logischerweise neuere CPU's nicht kennt und als nicht tauglich einstuft, obwohl wir ja heutzutage enorm bessere Systeme haben. Was kann ich tun, um das Spiel auch heute noch spielen zu können (WinXP) ohne mir nen alten 486er basteln zu müssen nur das es funktioniert.

Habt ihr ne Lösung? Oder kann ich den Hardware-Test umgehen?

Habe leider keine Ahnung wie ich's machen soll.

Die DOS Version laeuft, soweit ich mich erinnern kann, unter DOSBox:

Gibt es auch andere Varianten? DosBox ist mir etwas zu umständlich.

Habe leider keine Möglichkeit es zu überprüfen, aber versuch mal was ich in nem anderen Forum gefunden habe:

windows xp installation :

find the SETUP.EXE file on cd 1 then right click on it then click on "open"

click "install"

you will see a message that says "setup needs to test your system in order to make sure it can run phantasmagoria - do you want to perform this test before installing?" click NO.

you will see some errors but ignore them and continue with the windows installation anyway and it will install fine. now go to C:/SIERRA/SCARY (where the game installs by default)then right click on the SIERRAW.EXE file then click on >Send to > Desktop (create shortcut). right click on the shortcut then choose "properties." click on the compatibility tab then check the box to run the program in compatibility mode for windows 95... under display settings, check where it says "run in 256 colors" and "run in 640x 480 screen resolution".

start the game.

Also ich kann das Spiel bei mir installieren, ich brauch nicht mal den Kompatiblitätsmodus.

Aber ich hab noch was gefunden, was wahrscheinlich noch geiler ist, weil es den Vollbild Modus angeblich ermöglicht auf neuen PCs.

Ich bin gerade selber dabei das Teil runterzuladen, wenn das funktioniert wäre das total geil. Ich persönlich kenne das Spiel noch gar nicht, möchte es aber unbedingt mal zocken.
