1. Please check whether the CPU is overheat! ed, because the CPU is almost
fully loading during you run 3D games.
After running Futuremark 3DMark 2005 Pro 5 times in a row the CPU
temp does not get over 55 degrees Celcius
2. Please check whether the VGA chip is overheated. The defective fan on the
card may cause the VGA chip overheated so that the system will be unstable.
After running Futuremark 3DMark 2005 Pro 5 times in a row the GPU
temp does no get over 50 degrees Celcius
3. If you are overclocking your CPU, VGA card, memory or others, please
restore the default setting.
I have tried with overclocking , standard settings and
underclocking....no difference
4. Always, we recommend you updating the VGA driver to the latest version
for better compatibility. the link is

I have tried Asus newest 81.xx NVidia Driver and the NVidia 81.xx
drivers as well as all 7x.xx NVidia drivers....same problem.
5. If this problem doesn’t occur before, and only occurs after you have
installed a lot of software in the system, this may be the software
conflict. Please remove some software to have a try. But we recommend you
reinstalling the OS for best solution after you backup your datum.
The same problems occur after I have Freshly installed either W2K
Pro (SP4) or XP Pro (SP2)
If these cannot help you , would you please use this card in another system
to have a try and see whether the card is broken.
I have installed the card in 3 other systems (1x intel CPU and 1x
AMD 64 bit CPU) wit h the same problems
If the phenomenon reoccurs , y! ou can use the ASUS RMA service.
I have done this already and the SECOND card has the same
problems. My Retailer now tells me that this
card is no longer available so he suggests that I get a refund
from ASUS and buy a different Card !
I am also not willing to wait another 4 weeks for the RMA service
to work thru my retailer.
Is this possible ? Or can ASUS send me a different AGP NVidia
6800GT card from what I have just now ? (Different model)
Thanks for your help !
