Hi, ich habe einen Heimserver.

Da ich zwei zusätzliche SATA Ports brauche, habe ich einen älteren Hostcontroller herausgekramt. Auf der Supportseite gibt es nun viele Treiber, so dass ich mir nicht sicher bin, welchen ich benutzen kann,ich will ja nichts zerschießen:

SATA Controller:
SIL3132 VER C

Bin gerade dabei, hab sata_sil24 geladen (modprobe) ist jetzt da (lsmod)

Im kern.log steht noch immer nichts,aber lsmod zeigt das modul jetzt an
die Festplatte ist unter /dev noch nicht aufgetaucht

Hey, ich wollte hier nimanden verärgern.
Hab jetzt mal sata_sil24 unter /etc/modules eingetragen. Vlt. hilft ein Neustart

Ein Neustart wird nicht helfen. Und irgendwas wurde ausgegeben als sata_sil24 geladen wurde. Entweder auf stdout oder kern.log

Also weder nach neustart noch nach entfernen des modules mittels rmmod und anschließendem neuladen mit modprobe sata_sil24 gibt es eine ausgabe auf der konsole oder im kernel log. lsmod zeigt aber an, das sata_sil24 geladen ist und es steht auch hinter libdata neben lbahci und ahci

was sagt lspci -v welche Hardware du hast?
Die Treiber von silicon Image direkt werden dir nichts nützen: das sind Treiber für 2.6.19 oder so, 10 Jahre alt.
Entweder der kerneltreiber geht, oder es ist Essig.

Ich habe gerade im BIOS rumgeschaut. Da kann man für jeden Slot Legacy oder UEFI wählen. Kann es etwas damit zu tun haben?
