Boot Overwrite?

Leider spuckt mir Google nicht wirklich aus, was das ist.

Im Bios auf der letzten Seite gibts bei mir den Punkt "Boot Overwrite"

Was hat der den zu bedeuten?

Hat das was mit der Boot Reihenfolge zu tun?

Die stelle ich ja weiter vorne im Bios schon ein.

Was hats also mit dem Boot Overwrite im Bios auf sich?

Welches Board? Mal ins Handbuch geschaut? Vllt wird die Bootreihenfolge oder Partition überschrieben ... lässt sich sicher was im Handbuch zu finden.

Nach 2 sek. google findet sich auch folgendes dazu:

You current boot order is OS drive first, it's set at this this to give you the quickest boot time as it skips trying to boot from the optical drive and usb flash drives, or any other hard drive for that matter.
You get a problem and you decide to check the RAM using memtest 86.
This involves burning an ISO to an optical disc and then booting to it.
You insert that disc into the optical drive and find you can't boot to it because your boot order is optimized for boot speed (skips optical drive)
This is where "boot override" comes.
This allows to boot from that optical drive this one time without having to reassert your quick boot order for future boots

Also um die eingestellte Bootreihenfolge mal kurzfristig zu ignorieren ohne es extra umzustellen.

Ich hätte ja spontqan auch vermutet, dass der Threadstarter die Funktion "Boot override" falsch wiedergibt und von overwrite schreibt. Aber was, wenn die Fehlermeldung tatsächlich overwrite heissen sollte?

Dann wird sich anhand der Boardbezeichnung sicher im Handbuch finden lassen, was overwrite macht

Diese Option ist ähnlich wie ein Bootmenü und bestimmt das boot device für den nächsten Start.
Wenn du keine Änderungen im UEFI vornimmst wird das ausgewählte Gerät direkt ohne Neustart gebootet.
