Auch wenn es eh gleich bei CB auftaucht, hier etwas genauer: https://support.ati.com/ics/support/default.asp?deptID=894&task=knowledge&questionID=640 , die Release Notes finden sich dann auch dort.

Edit2: Ich merk grad das des mit den Links nicht so geht, wie ich will... Also ohne Deeplink auf die Release Notes. :) Den Link unten hatte ich probiert, geht nur solange die eigene Session auf dem Server läuft. Oder so...

ATI drivers are already optimized for your product from the initial installation.  Installing a new driver is only recommended if you are experiencing issues with your ATI product, including those mentioned below:

- Prince of Persia: Sands of Time: Attempting to launch the game under Windows with an ATI Radeon X800 XL installed no longer results in an error message being displayed 
- The German language control panel text no longer appears truncated when using 96 DPI 
- 3Dmark03: Setting the display resolution to 1024x768 32bbp and having Anti-Aliasing set to 6x no longer results in Windows crashing when running 3Dmark03 Mother Nature test 
- Overlay Theater Mode no longer fails to be applied on the secondary display device when using extended desktop mode

- IBM DFP BN68-30012B-06: Connecting the display device to an ATI Radeon X300/X600 no longer results in display corruption being noticed after the installation of the ATI display driver 
- The ATI Radeon X850 Pro is now properly identified in the Display Properties 
- Dungeon Siege 2: The cursor image is now displayed properly when playing the game under Windows XP with an ATI Radeon X800 series installed 
- Stronghold 2: Attempting to launch the game under Windows XP Professional x64 edition no longer results in the game failing to load and the operating system rebooting itself 
- Attempting to enabling clone mode under Windows XP MCE while watching TV in a windowed mode no longer results in the operating system crashing 
- Using a PAL version of the Microsoft operating system (XP, or XP MCE) no longer results in the region being switched from PAL to NTSC when clicking the video list found in the tuner tab of the TV function of the ATI MMC 
- Max Payne 2: Erratic mouse pointer behavior is no longer noticed within the game's menu after a short time period of game play

Der Omegatreiber ist wesentlich besser, da kann man einstellen, was beim Gamen angezeigt werden soll.
z.B. FPS und GPU Temperatur. Es erscheint dann oben rechts im Bild die Anzeige mit den aktuellen Daten, genial.
Ach ja, ist auch eine Lüftersteuerung für die Graka implantiert. Oc, wie Atitool natürlich auch dabei

Die Omega Treiber sind wirklich sehr gut.
Das mit dem "rechts oben erscheinenden fps daten" liegt an "ATI TRAY TOOLS" und den kann man sich auch ohnen das man die omega treiber braucht installieren :freaky:...

Genau, deswegen Release Notes nicht verlinken, geht eh nicht. Es sei denn jemand findet 'ne andere Seite als die von ATI. :D

bringt genau dieselbe leistung wie der 5.9 omega :mad:

CrossFire™ Support

The Catalyst™ software suite 5.10 introduces support for ATI CrossFire™. ATI CrossFire™ allows for multiple Graphics Processing Units (GPUs) to be placed within a single PC, providing superior gaming performance.
Default Screen Rotation Keystrokes

The Catalyst™ software suite 5.10 introduces default screen rotation keystrokes. The following default hotkeys will be assigned for rotating the display:

CTRL-ALT-Up Arrow

0 degrees rotation (Normal landscape mode)

CTRL-ALT-Left Arrow

Rotate 90 degrees left (Portrait mode)

CTRL-ALT-Right Arrow

Rotate 90 degrees right

CTRL-ALT-Down Arrow

Rotate 180 degrees

Display Control Panel Extension Enhancements for Windows XP MCE

The Catalyst™ software suite 5.10 introduces enhancements for the display control panel extensions for Windows XP MCE. Enhancements include the following:

* Placing the ATI Setting within the Windows XP MCE main menu
* A display resolution slider bar with preset display resolutions of 480p, 720p, 1080i, and 1080p
* Adjust picture to fit your desktop display
* Ability to force display with current settings for display devices with incomplete or with an inaccurate EDID

Issues Resolved in Catalyst™ Software Suite 5.10

The following section provides a summary of the issues that have been resolved in the latest version of Catalyst™. These include:

* 3Dmark03: Setting the display resolution to 1024x768 32bbp and having Anti-Aliasing set to 6x no longer results in Windows crashing when running 3Dmark03 Mother Nature test

Woher auch? Die wird es vielleicht im nächsten geben. Das Spiel ist ja nun noch keine Wochen auf dem Markt ;).

Ansonsten interessant, dass die X1X00 Karten noch nicht unterstützt werden. ATI ist wohl der Überzeugung, dass vor Mitte November, wenn der 5.11 erscheint, eh keiner so eine Karte käuflich erwerben konnte :D.

natürlich ist es schön, wenn ein neuer Treiber so zusagen umsonst ein bisschen mehr leistung bietet, nur kann man das doch auch nicht von jedem neuen treiber erwarten, die wichtigste Aufgabe/Sinn/Zweck von neuen Treibern ist doch vorhandene Probleme bei Spielen etc. zu beseitigen und wenns Performance Probleme mit einigen Spielen gibt, werden die dann auch beseitigt. Nur kann man doch nicht sauer sein, wenn der alte Treiber genauso schnell ist wie der alte, wenn jedes Monat der Treiber 5% mehr Leistung bringt, braucht man ja keine neue Grafikkarte mehr, wär natürlich schön ist aber völlig unrealistisch. Vorallem bei neuen Grafikchips wie der 7800GTX oder der X1800 X1600 usw. sind rel. große Leistungschübe bei neuen Treibern drin, einfach weil da der Treiber noch für die Grafikkarte optimiert werden kann, bei älteren ist der Treiber einfach schon ausgereizt. Außerdem kannst du nicht immer nach Benchmarkprogrammen gehen, die sind doch eh sinnlos, was nützen dir 13.000Punkte bei 3DMark05, wenn die richtigen Spiele nicht ordentlich funktionieren, außerdem wird bei solchen Benchmarkprogrammen auch sehr viel geschöhnt.

Das ist normal. Performancemäßig sind die Treiber bei ATI und Nvidia ausgequetscht. Es sitzen da ja keine Deppen in der Entwicklungsabteilung. Wo Reserven liegen ist bei neuen Chips. Da kann es durchaus sein, dass anfangs noch nicht alle Möglichkeiten ausgereizt sind. Für ältere Generationen wie dem R3XX oder R4XX bei ATI sind in Sachen Performance alle Messen gesungen. Trotzdem lohnt ein Update der Bugfixes wegen.
 
In irgendwelchen Treibern hab ich aber schon irgendetwas ähnliches wie Beta-Unterstützung für B&W 2 gesehen.
