Windows 11 Dynamic Refresh Rate

Hallo zusammen,

seit dem letzten Windows 11 Update ist mir ein ständiges, minimales Flackern auf dem Desktop aufgefallen. Etwas rumprobieren hat gezeigt, dass es das gute alte Freesync Flickering ist und ohne Freesync sofort weg ist.

Da dies erst seit dem letzten Windows 11 Update überhaupt auftritt, denke ich es muss mit dem neuen Feature Dynamic Refresh Rate zusammenhängen, auch wenn dieses ja keine VRR Technik sein soll.

Ist schon bekannt, wie man dieses neue DRR abschalten kann?

AMD Radeon 6900XT mit 21.6.2 und LC Power lc-m34-uwqhd-144

Keine Ahnung ob das Folgende DRR immer und überall abschaltet. Ich hoffe es hilft.

System > Display and click on the Advanced display

• On the Advanced display page, find the option Choose a refresh rate.
• Select one of the static values, e.g. 60Hz or 120Hz from the drop-down menu

@Flare Vielen Dank, genau die Antwort auf meine Frage.

Leider habe ich hier nur fixe Raten zur Auswahl. Die Ursache des Problems ist dann wohl doch eine andere. Hängt definitiv mit Freesync zusammen, was aber bisher ja eigentlich nie Auswirkungen auf den Desktop hatte.

war es nicht so das DRR nur bei Laptops aktiv ist? Daher auch keine Auswahl der Option wenn man aufm Desktop unterwegs ist.

The Dynamic refresh rate setting is already rolling out through the Windows 11 preview build on the dev channel. But it’s still a work in progress. The setting currently only activates when you’re scrolling on Microsoft Office, and if you’re “inking” or digitally drawing with a stylus in Office, Microsoft Edge, and several other Microsoft and Adobe programs. It's unclear what other modes the setting may enable.

The other limitation is how the setting can only be applied to laptops with a 120Hz or higher display panel that feature a variable refresh rate. The same laptops also need the Windows Display Driver Model 3.0 installed, which is available through Windows update.

There’s also no reason to bring the function to desktop PCs, since they never suffer from battery life problems. “All your existing games will continue to run and perform like they always have because DRR does not apply to games,” the company added.

Ich habe jetzt das Tool TranslucentTB (transparente Win11 Taskbar) in Verdacht. Die nutzt bestimmt irgendwelche D3D Features welche irgendwie Freesync triggern und das Freesync Flimmern verursachen, was ja viele Monitore gelegentlich haben.
